It's entering a new world now for them esp Mini and HS... Babita has already been accepted here.... Now the real bonding btw HS and Mini will happen... The things which he didn't knew about Mini on micro level will get a head start from here.... Hoping positively...
Yes, and I don't expect it to be easy at all. I don't mind, though.
Glad the CVs are spending time on this very important topic. When parents remarry, it is hard for their kids to adjust to the new spouse, especially when they are older. Not all families experience a Hum Saath Saath Hain kind of atmosphere from day 1.
Amazing take Jean... Loved it...
Father and daughter will. Rock it now...
I wish naeem bi will help Minni in all this...as now she is the sensible one with them... Hope khuranas won't interfere Now...
Excellent analysis of the episode by you, Jean! ❤️

Beautiful analysis Jean❤️ Agree with each and every word you said. I will just say one thing that is in my mind since the hospital track aired. I think HS started being insecure about his place in Minnie's life from the moment she called out babes in her unconscious state and not him when she came out of OT. I still remember the shock and hurt in his face. Yesterday they showed him remembering her bitter words but I think what had hurt him most were not her words but her not needing him in her life.
That incident had also made him a little jealous of Babitha. . In this whole marriage track Minnie's focus was only Babitha and even her emotional speech included only Babitha. This magnified his jealousy . With this marriage he had hoped of a place equal to that of Babitha's in Minnie's life. But the CD showed him his place. He can never be Ashok. He was insanely jealous of Ashok. It was this jealousy that sowed the seed of doubt in his mind.
Poor guy, he doesn't know he loves Minnie more than Imarti.

You made a good point about the OT scene. The look on his face and the way he stood back in the corridor as they wheeled her away stayed with me a long time. Brilliant writing there that we are able to connect the dots to it. Exactly, feeling unwanted, or not needed by her beyond her project of getting her mother remarried is what's hurting him. Basically, he loves her far more than she does. He's already treating her as his own daughter but she doesn't consider him her father in the true sense. She didn't see his restlessness in the hospital, he a full-on father there and then. If nothing then his argument with the receptionist proved it. He would set fire if anything happened to her, no one could worry about her more than him. Even when the case was re-opened, his main concern was what would happen to her?
@bold I think he does, which is why he tried to hurt her in the Imarti track by telling her he could not love anyone more than he loved Imarti, not her mother, not anyone else.
I also think his possessiveness about Minnie is something he hasn't had to deal with, and neither have mother-daughter. He knows he can never be Ashok, from a DNA perspective, and I don't know about jealousy but it's interesting that he may be insecure about Ashok from Minnie's parent perspective and not as Babita's husband.
I remember the training track where Babita was possessive about Minnie and to an extent jealous that HS and Minnie were spending so much time together, as well as later on with Meeta and Minnie bonding. It would be interesting to see HS articulate his feelings of being possessive about Minnie later on, but I don't think he feels he has a leg to stand on if his own daughter doesn't want or see him as a father. The joke around her leaving him to take sides with her mother in one of the recent episodes was a brilliantly inserted foreshadowing of exactly what we're seeing.
Minnie is still Babes' daughter, will she ever be HS' too? Will he get his equal share of love as Babita does? His love is all encompassing, but now he's faced with the fact that Minnie does not and may never love him to the extent he loves her. I think because he accepted and began to love Minnie much early on, he's much further in this father-daughter relationship than she is. It's easy to forget that they have only known each other a few months. Minnie will need a lot of time before she is comfortable with truly accepting him as her father.
This is why I want a dad vs. dad fight so that she can realize/remember what HS is and then explicitly want him as a father, for her own self, and not just because he married her mother.
1. He sure knows how much he loves her but hasn't understood the depth of his feelings completely. He had assumed that Minnie loves him as much as he loves her hence didn't dwell deeper into his own feelings. Now when she is constantly chosing her mother over him and possibly missing her real father has pulled him out of the assumptions. It will be now when his real feelings come out and possibly the real reason behind marrying Babitha. He assumes he loves her for herself which is not completely true . He might be shocked himself when the truth comes out. He has to do amrith manthan on his own feelings. You made a good point about the OT scene. 2. He sure is possessive about Minnie but has to yet accept it.. It's not the CD that has upset him but the possibility of Ashok snatching Minnie from him.
3. He is much further in both husband-wife and father- daughter relationships. Mother daughter have a lot of catching up to do. I think this track is to make Minnie understand that she has to stop seeing everything through Babitha's POV and for HS to understand he can't be a father by just marrying child's mother. At the end both will be father- daughter in true sense.
4. I sure want Ashok to return and Minnie to chose HS over him. Only that can make him secure and happy. This story started with Ashok and will have to end with Ashok. Otherwise there won't be a proper closure.

So cute that you numbered the points!
It's the only show I have watched for 200+ episodes. I usually stop watching when marriage track starts in any show but I have continued watching PB only to see HS and Minnie becoming father daughter in true sense. I hope it happens. If it doesn't then I won't watch any TV show in my life again. So cute that you numbered the points!
- Yes, I do want to see him thinking about and possibly articulating at least to himself or maybe NB/Lala about the real reason for marrying Babita and his insecurity about losing Minnie. I don't think the whole amrit manthan thing is yet resolved. Far from it, in fact.
- I totally agree that the major impact was on his confidence as her father and her voiceover didn't really help. If Ashok is back, then I can imagine HS having sleepless nights about losing Minnie to him forever, especially because he doesn't feel he has the right to make any claims over her as a father, and because he thinks she doesn't want him or care about him beyond being her mother's husband.
- Glad you mentioned this, because I agree. He is much further along. He didn't have the same kind of baggage so he was 'free' to love them earlier in their journey if you know what I mean. They took time to come out of their situation and to deal with the financial and social issues, but he stood by and supported them, loved them, and protected them the whole time. I think Poonam's words also alluded to this, that Minnie should have her own identity outside of Babita's sphere and by extension she needs to form her own equations with other people, be it HS, Lala, NB, or even the Khuranas.
- It looks like things might end up that way, but it will be tough for her if Ashok is shown to be reformed. She would no longer have a reason to hate him but the supposed advantage he has as a biological father would need to be addressed. She would then be making an explicit choice of who she wants as her father, because I don't know if she can have two but she may choose neither of them at the end of the day. Just because we want her to be HS' daughter doesn't mean she will want the same thing for herself. Isn't that what choice and independence is about? Likewise, Babita would have to understand that HS can be her husband without being the father of her child. I know this will hurt HS a lot but he will understand and accept it eventually. Of course, I personally hope this doesn't happen just because I'm greedy and am so invested in this father-daughter bond. All those tears and moments of heartache and 'awww' these two have put us through must count for something, right?
