Just because it's a masala movie doesn't mean that the plot should be nonsensical or that the characters should be shit..
We could be getting something at least on the level of the MCU, Mission Imposible etc. but instead masala movies have the quality of Fast & Furious or Transformers movies (as an example)
More effort should be put into the scripts (and action) of masala movies imho
