I am lucky to have found an understanding & supportive husband (albeit with his own flaws) .. it took me a few years to realize that I am an outsider ..

These days what matters is that your partner makes you feel like an insider ..

The tragedy is that this is the harsh reality of the society be it Indian or any other .. because it stems from ones insecurities.. my Dadi looked at my mom as the bade Ghar ki beti who cannot fit into a lower middle class home (although she supported my dad in helping with bringing his family from a small village to a bigger city and settling then) or my MIL who feels she is an outsider and must be kept at arm's length .. even if she treats me with love and was a DIL once upon a time..

I will never recommend not getting married due to these fears .. finding the right partner and a supportive one at that leaves no scope of feeling lonely .. that I can guarantee you 200%

I have a lot of my own insecurities that are playing into factor. I had shared once before that I've never been in a romantic relationship before, so I have no idea what to expect from a partner. Heck, I don't even know what I want for myself and have to still undergo on a journey to figure that out. There's still a lot that I need to learn and shaadi is just not on the cards for me right now.
