Thoughts:

  1. The montage finally changed!

  2. Naeem Bi tries to gauge how much HS truly knows Minnie and while he gets her at some level, he doesn't truly understand the depth of her pain. He sees how brave, smart and protective she is of Babes; but he fails to see all the courage, strength and hurt that involves in it all. He isn't able to see how lonely, scared and frustrated she can get.

I'm glad that Minnie at least has Naeem Bi looking out for her and now Lala as well to some extent. But the way HS just ran off without fully listening to Naeem Bi is insinuating that he'll wrongly assume that he can take care of everything and will somehow end up making things worse. I will say that he knows Babita a lot better in this regard. Her flaws and insecurities, and the way she manifests them is something that he's well aware of. With Minnie, it's as if he turns a blind eye to it. He knows about her anger, and past depressive episode, but he fails to keep up with the other issues she has.

  3. Both Babita and Minnie looked absolutely gorgeous!!

I didn't really see anything wrong with Babes' maang tikka but I guess it further went on to show how Minnie may have prepared Babes to the best of her abilities but the final say will now go to HS. His approval and his opinions of Babes are just as important as Minnie's.

I loved how confidently HS extended his hand out to Babes and the way she put her hand in his. Hand in hand, they both walked towards the wedding venue. HS was busy clearing the way for Babes and oddly didn't pause to consider where Minnie was. Babes on the other hand, looked both forward and backwards as she sought out Minnie whilst walking alongside HS. Amidst all this, Mickey also wondered as to where Minnie was, while Preet told him to redirect his focus on the wedding couple instead. Yes, Minnie wants plenty of pictures of Hanita, but it's more important for her to be there with them, not watch from afar.

Don't know why Minnie stayed behind for so long. She could have easily walked right behind Hanita or made her way through the crowd to them, stating she's their daughter. Or even called out to Hanita to wait for her and they would have done so. But no; no one called out to another and Minnie got left behind to the point that she got lost in the crowd and was nowhere in sight.

I really could have done without Naeem Bi's voice over tbh. We already knew how delicate this relationship was going to be but they're presenting it as if Hanita just made a huge mistake by getting married. And if Naeem Bi could have predicted all this from before, then why didn't she have a talk with Hanita days before marriage? Why save this important conversation LITERALLY minutes before the wedding??

  4. I really like Poonam's comment about Minnie being her own person, not Babita's shadow. She will always be her daughter, but Minnie really needs to start carving out her own identity now. She's almost 18; she needs to develop interests that exist outside of Babes so that she can prosper in the future.

  5. The Khuranas scene was blehh. At least Dadu showed some sense in knowing that they should be out of Babes' life. I swear, Dadu makes me sympathetic. Rest of the Khuranas toh jaye bhaad mein.

  6. The varmala scene was cute and Lala was super adorable in wanting to click all those selfies.

  7. Minnie's speech was really moving. It brought me back to the old PB days. Minnie's comment about her small hands touching everything of Babes, her bindi, earrings, face etc. was a major throwback to the morning after Ashok made his nasty comment about Babes. At that time Babes had used those words to express how Minnie is more than just the parts of her body. That she's Minnie and Babes is Babes. They're not just some hands, arms, or legs.

Today, Minnie used similar words to express her fear of how she might lose Babes. Even though she has other family members around, losing Babes will absolutely destroy her. She mentioned how Babes ka haath choot gaya but she quickly covered it up by saying how she's not afraid of losing her though. I personally think that portion was a lie so that Babes doesn't freak out and call of the wedding. Some parts of her believes that she has lost her Babes, and if not completely, then she will soon enough.

I wish she had some more words about HS as well. What does he mean to her and Babes and why Minnie has no fear when it comes to him or his love for them. By simply asking him to take care of Babes, she has stated her priority. We all already knew this but for Minnie, her Babes truly is everything. Not even HS can compete with it.

  8. The words Minnie used for over the CD are not going to go well. First of all she made her speech wherein she reflected on her childhood and her fear of losing Babes. Now, in her second mini speech she comments on how these images and memories are forever imprinted in her mind and how she'll miss those days. We know that Minnie had intended for pictures of her Babes and HS to be there, but to rest of the world it's going to come off as Minnie wishing that Babes was still with Ashok.

The Khuranas, Kammo and Khatri are going to have a field day with this.

I don't blame HS for being angry or offended by this. Babes is going to be hurt big time and her mood is going to be totally spoiled. HS didn't need to have this visual comparison of Babita's first marriage or be reminded yet again of how he's not Minnie's father or Babes' first husband. It's very insulting.

  9. Precap: I don't think HS is accusing Minnie of playing that CD. He just wants to know how it got from the cupboard to the mandap. I think Babes overreacted by thinking HS is accusing Minnie. Once he finds out that it's Khatri, phir toh uski khair nahi.

Mickey sees it cause he understands her as a person, as a girl. Not as a daughter or granddaughter or any relationship imposed.

I don't appreciate Hanita being labelled as bad parents. Just because they were unaware to some of her problems doesn't mean that they're unworthy of her.

For example: There are SO many things that have happened to me that my parents don't know about. Minor sexual assaults, long periods of depression coupled with some suicidal thoughts being some of them. They don't have any awareness of this but that doesn't mean that they're automatically horrible parents. If the child doesn't share their problems with the parent, then how are they supposed to help out? They're human beings, not mind readers. And if upon asking, the child doesn't share what's bothering them, then how is that the parent's fault?

When HS spoke to NB about Minnie, he only pointed out attributes that relate back to Babita. I understand CVs underlining that HS knows Minnie mostly on the surface abhi, but he does know more than this, atleast.

He knows that she's passionate about photography, hence gifting her a camera. He knows about the karate, hence teaching her and even mentioning right it before the wedding functions began.

He knows how broken and tired she is, he has seen it because Minnie turns to him whenever she doesn't know how to 'coach' Babita or is in a problem (university admission, Manmeet case, etc).

He knows how loyal she is, whether to her Babes, her Hanuman uncle or her friends. She's even angry and sometimes impulsive due to that anger.

Surely some of these attributes could've been mentioned?

Exactly. There's so much to me that my parents don't know about cause I have chosen to not tell them about it. How is it their fault?

I don't blame them AT ALL.

And I agree to all your pointers. Exactly what I thought. NB's voice over dampened the whole vibe which was turning out really special for me - with HS and Babes walking down the aisle quite literally hahaha. But the whole getting lost in the crowd and that voice over killed the whole Din shagana da vibe AHHHHHHH. Nevertheless, it was a gorgeous sequence.

I took that scene in the sense that Mini will be left behind with HS Babes walking their way past her and in the process, she will rediscover herself, being Mini and not just Babita's and Hanuman's daughter.

And I could have done without NB’s monologue of what’s about to come when Hanita were walking to the mandap. I mean that just put the gloomy feel to the wedding. She could have talked to them before hand but just to say that while they are literally about to get married, I didn’t like that 😕

There just wasn't enough time to delve deeper. Once he heard the payal, HS ran off. But if they had talked a little more, I'm sure he would have brought up all these points.

Gurwati thank you for summing the episode up so beautifully. Specially the precap bit. It was exactly what I was thinking and was about to say before I got distracted. He wanted to know that CD aayi kahan se, even might've low key accused Mini but it's alright. Babita blowed it out of proportion there and that too happens.

And I'd agree with you that HS knows Babita better than Mini at this point. He has to know about how her mind functions and who she really is.

You're just speaking my mind today 😆

Ayyyyy I feel so happy!
