The rover which will cover surface of #moon has #Ashok chakra and #ISRO logo on its tyres. So while moving it will leave the #Indian signs on the surface. #moon has no wind and rain. The marks will stay there for centuries to come.

Now it will slow down from 6000 m/s to 500 m/s ... fire it’s four thrusters .. hover over the surface of the moon over next 15 mins ..locate safe place for landing ..

At 0203 hrs there is no transmission from Vikram .. mission control is waiting for confirmation of its landing .. ..suspicion of having high speed at the time of landing ..

All communication from Vikram was lost at the altitude of 2 kms from the lunar surface ..

Chennai: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is continuing its attempt to reach out to India's moon lander sending communication signals with its Deep Space Network (DSN), said officials.

It is also reported the American space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is sending radio signals to Vikram.

"Attempts are being made to reestablish communication links with the moon lander Vikram. The attempts will be made till September 20-21 when the sunlight will be there in the area where the Vikram has landed," an ISRO official preferring anonymity told IANS.
