Anyone else relate to Bunny's life philosophy? + film recommendations - Page 3

Initially I didn't, but now that I myself am living in a foreign country (work reasons) and have started exploring the world I can relate to him. This independence is addicting. Here I take solo trips to a new country every other month coz I know once I go back to India I'll have to settle back into my old life. While the final plan is obv to go back, I can't help but wish that I could extend this time of my life for a few more months.

Shuddh Desi Romance is also a good movie.

The beauty of going to foreign places is the freedom - you can do whatever you want! :) And food...of course.

I mainly want to travel for food.

On the selfish note, couldn’t you say family and friends are selfish if they don’t let him be the person he wants to be or the life he wants to lead? They want him to stay because they need him or want his company or they think he should live his life in a certain way. Why is he only selfish? Everyone is selfish. But there are lines where you are too selfish or too selfless. Neither are virtues or vices. Just need balance. Finding that balance is the journey of life.

I say this in general. I don’t rem Bunty’s exact circumstances.

Curious how do ppl have this money. Ig pe dekho, wahan pe bhi log kitna ghum te hai. Yahaan India ghume nahi ja raha hai.

I don’t know of your income level but here’s my funda (I am not rich so...)

focus on using money for travel and focus less on house/apartment, clothes, beauty products, social life related expenses. Live modestly. Put money away separately for travel every month from paycheck (savings account maybe) and don’t tell anyone about it lol! It has to be a priority.

True that everyone is selfish to some extent.

Virtue in excess quantity becomes a vice, I think it is human to be flawed and we should honour that and strive instead for balance like you said.

One more money saving tip for travel account: Start gardening, you save on your grocery bills & gym membership and you get to taste real veg/fruit. 😛

Plus, it’s therapeutic. :) You don’t need much space for it, you can do vertical gardening. ;)

I'm already in a foreign country for my work and it's easier to go to other countries from here. Also, there are really cheap flights (if you travel light) and I preferably stay in hostels so it doesn't cost that much.Also, in European cities, you mostly walk to wherever you wanna go so overall it's not as costly as it would have been if I had to travel from India(ergo, these trips would have never happened).
