Salman had two disasters and one Flop after HAHK, and then got blockbuster Karan Arjun with SRK, then again 3 Flops in a row. His career too was inconsistent before Dabangg but he was a Superstar before Dabangg. Sunny Deol or Govinda were never consistent but they were still considered Superstars.

Consistency is not everything. The only thing that really matters is how many big hits you have, and Ranbir has it with Sanju, YJHD and Raajneeti.

baghi was definately a hit after mpk in 90 n so was pather ke phool and sanam bewefa in 91 and in the same year he has sajaan n love too

and rajneeti was not even a blockbuster 😆

Flops like Mohenjo daro and Kaabil took him almost out of the game imho.

If you have to create a thread to convince people that so and so is a superstar, well, he might not be all that.
