Ranbir Kapoor is a Superstar.

If HAHK made Salman Superstar and DDLJ made SRK Superstar, then I suppose Sanju is enough to declare Ranbir as a Superstar. He has a 30 Crore+ opening, 300 Crore film and a HGOTY, atleast one thing which other Superstars like Hrithik, Akshay, Ajay don't have. So isn't having Sanju in his filmography makes him a Superstar?

Now people say it wasn't a blockbuster because of Ranbir. It was because of Hirani and Sanjay Dutt. But it doesn't really matter. There is no proof that Ranbir has no hand in Sanju's success, and MPK and HAHK were not Blockbusters only because of Salman, or DDLJ wasn't a blockbuster only because of SRK. But they were still their success so why Ranbir shouldn't be credited for Sanju? 20 years from now Sanju too will be tagged only as a Ranbir film and no one will question it except some haters.

Just see how many Flops Salman and Hrithik had after MPK and KNPH and they are called superstars since debut.

According to me if an actor can stay in the limelight over decades and get appreciation for their movies (despite of flops in between), that's what makes him a superstar.

It's too early to consider Ranbir as a superstar. Let 10 more years pass and see if Ranbir can continue doing good, then he can be considered as a superstar. He should choose more versatile characters as well.

If he’s a star he should do it without that fakery. SRK did it, he was a top star when he was married - Salman ofcourse was with Katrina but it wasn’t thrown in our faces like Ranbir does with his girls
