I agree. How is he so rich all of a sudden if he doesn't take any fees? I feel like someone from that family is involved in some criminal activities and they are covering it up with Bapji's name. That's how they met Kethki.

They would also not like Malhar for that very reason - his position as ACP, his stake in Bapji's new found wealth.

Something weird about the ENTIRE family. Bapji's backstory doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The mother-son duo seems like they would really dislike Malhar.
