I saw that tweet. I didn't feel that way but perhaps he interpreted the scene differently.

Exactly. Even WHEN the spoiler came, everyone was disturbed about who is imagining her,if HS was missing her, how it doesn’t look nice imarti giving uptan to babes etc etc.

But on screen it just looked surreal.

In her innocence, minni made up a perfect imagery of imarti which was no way OTT or distracting.

(I love the way minni is such a kid now-a-days.Since the beginning, they have called her the child of home but we have just seen her managing everyone around.be it her beeji, dadu, bua -fufa,preet well basically everyone.

But now she is actually bap ka ladli)

The way PB cvs are pulling all those scenes off, i have really high hopes from them about hanita.

I too was apprehensive when the spoiler came out but it turned out so well. I especially loved the scene between NB and Minnie and how it then made the connection to Minnie imagining Imarti all the more relatable. It also cemented her being baap ki laadli. Uff, not just the writing but also the screenplay is brilliant!

@Jiarao

It means a lot to me that you took the time to read through my post and add your comments. My responses are in green.

I loved this scene. lala, Mickey and HS make a great team. They are entertaining as well as educating. Both men and women from our society can take few lessons from them.

Yes, that is true. Also, it is important to show camaraderie and some lights moments that can also help people bond, not just the heavy-duty emotional ones.

I feel babitha has seen/understood only one part of HS which holds immense love for both her daughter and Imarti. She understands and accepts it. But HS is not only that. He has much more about his personality which she clearly has no idea. When I see him I see a small kid yearning for his father's love , a son who carries immense guilt for not being able to help his mother, a husband who could not bring back his wife from death, a man who could not punish the offender of his mother just because that man was his own father, a man who often does things without his will just to uphold someones faith in him (Ashok release) and feels suffocated etc. I am not sure how much of this side Babitha is aware of. I too hope she looks deep into his soul over the time and helps him to be guiltfree.

I LOVED this paragraph of yours. You have described HS exactly as I see him and I think there will be more layers of his character that Babita (and we) will get to discover. She never had the chance to get to know Ashok but now she will with HS. It is part of the journey of marriage and together that she will probably experience for the first time. One thing, though. HS has to stop being so over-protective and let her in at some point, otherwise how can she be expected to step up and be his true partner.

Accha? Phir aansoon to na bahaogi? Muskura dogi? Hmm?
Haan.

The scene was good but I loved this part most. The way that Hmm was uttered was just wow. I loved Aniruddh a little bit more for his skill (if thats possible).

Tell me about it. Even though in many of the dialogues he was looking away from her, you could still feel the connect.

When I was watching the scene something about her voice prevented me from connecting to babitha.. Now after reading this I can see she was truly sorry.

What made you change your mind?

----

I just had the feels watching this as you could tell to what extent Minnie is connected to HS as his daughter, that she admires Imarti so much as an extension of the great love and admiration HS himself has for his late wife. Because of HS' emotions for Imarti and the love and warmth Minnie feels for her father, she now loves and admires the essence of Imarti too, which she has somewhat inherited as part of her father's family legacy. Don't know if I'm making sense, but simply put, I will quote a dialogue I had once heard in a show many years ago: Imarti apne Maan ki thi, uski saanson mein basi hai. Aur woh Maan, ab Minnie ka maan hai.

Bold; I ofeten feel this when I watch HS and Minnie together. They are clearly much more than just father and daughter. They are connected at soul level. sometimes I feel his love for Babitha is just an extension of what he has for Minnie. I can clearly imagine her calling him Maan someday. I can also imagine him giving the Hanuman locket to her. Don't know this will happen or not in the show but I always get this feeling.

I also feel that in some ways he loves Babita because she is Minnie's mother. I hope the locket goes to Minnie, it won't make sense otherwise. She is effectively Imarti in the flesh in many ways. HS may want to give it to her for protection the way Imarti had given it to him.

I don't think Babitha will ever come to know about Minnie thinking of Imarti as role model. I am not sure Minnie will discuss Imarti with babitha. She has never discussed about anything that transpires between her and HS. Let's see what happens.

Actually, I think it is important for Babita to know because this will address her insecurities as a mother but also because it will help her understand that there's a void in Minnie that is filled through her idolization of Imarti, partly because she had missed having a female role model.

Towards the end of the episode, Minnie imagined Imarti kissing her forehead as though to bless her. They were kindred spirits, it seemed. I think she felt that this made her closer to her father's side of the family. In that scene, it almost looked as if Imarti was passing the baton on to a worthy successor, her Maan's beloved daughter who was exactly what Imarti's daughter would have been like, as her Nanu had mentioned.

----- Minnie has beome more HS and Imarti's daughter than Babitha and Ashok's. No one will belive she met HS after 17 years of birth. They are so much alike.

I had said something similar elsewhere that you couldn't tell that HS hadn't raised Minnie. It's not even funny how much she has changed in the past few months. Sure, she had some common character traits with HS but under his guidance it's her thinking that has been most influenced. I think that's why we feel they are so alike. And yes, she feels like a younger Imarti to me sometimes. I bet the more she thinks about Imarti and idolizes her, wants to be like her, etc., the more she will end up being like her eventually.

Thank you Jean for your beautiful analysis . My thoughts are in red. Please continue writing.

Thank you again dear for sharing your thoughts. I often write these analyses based on my perception but it's great to hear from you to understand how you interpreted various scenes and thoughts. I do hope you write more often.

Just loved it, wouldn't elaborate furthermore cause it was so perfect. I somehow loved it a little more than what I usually feel for your pieces.

That swag was unparalleled, one foot up, shades on and smiling. The oh so desirable thanedaar.

Ahhhhh. That's so soothing to my eyes

This was a very hopeful episode, with Babita's conversation and HS and Naim Bi's words bringing relief. Yes it wont be easy but they'll stick through, with each other, for each other. <3

Still reading Fourth Dimension 😆

Thank you so much dear. Hope you enjoyed the fourth dimension bit.

Thank you Jean for your reply. I have tried to put some of my thoughts into words as a response to your reply . My words are in red.

You have described HS exactly as I see him and I think there will be more layers of his character that Babita (and we) will get to discover

We are always on same page when it comes to HS.😃 As for the layers of his character I don't think makers are going to explore them. Afterall it is Babes and Minnie's journey and HS is mere humsafar. They might show her trusting him completely and suporting him when he is in trouble regarding his work. That way we can see her growing emotionally.

What made you change your mind?

I can't pinpoint exactly. This happens to me whenever she changes her voice. I just go deaf to her feelings afterwards. This happened in both Imarti letter cases. Everyone was praising her voice modulation but for me it came out as completely fake . I guess it's my problem. I always read your post for clarification.

P.S I have great respect for the actress. As I said above I am talking only about my problem not about her acting.(This is for the actress's fans)

I agree. There sure is a void in Minnie and babitha needs to understand that and try become more emotionally strong for her daughter's sake. However I don't think Babitha can ever be the role model for Mnnie mainly because she has mothered Babitha all this time and knows all her flaws. For my own selfish reasons I want imarti to remain as minnie's role model.

I do hope you write more often.

I will try to write more. Even if I don't reply always I do read all your posts and enjoy. As I mentioned above I can feel few things only through your analysis. Your writing is very much convincing and unbiased which love most. Please keep writing.

from romantic quotient , yup .

plus now HS himself said he is learning to love unconditionally , hence with a larger heart he is able to heal himself from the hurts coming his way .

Oh! 😔 I do hope they explore more layers to his character because I don't want him/Aniruddh's work to stagnate. It would be a shame to see him just as a prop doing repetitive things without an arc of his own. I know it started out as Babita and Minnie's journey, but the HS character has taken on a life of its own beyond everyone's expectations and frankly now I feel he is central to the story. Just my take.

Sometimes I find there are dubbing issues in some scenes and it disturbs the flow.

Yes, this whole role model thing is a big deal for Minnie, especially because of the age and stage she is in.

I am very touched by your words, especially when you say my writing is unbiased. I always try to be fair but it's hard because this show invokes so many memories and emotions from my past and present that I struggle to retain a clear perspective sometimes. Thank you so much for your feedback dear. Look forward to more of your posts in future.
