Any news on Doga movie? Why no movies on desi comics?

Ever since Anurag Kashyap had announced he'll be making a movie on Doga, eons ago, I've been chhatpataaing for it. Last I'd heard Kunal Kapoor was to play Doga. Anyone heard of any recent developments on it?

Also, why doesn't Bollywood make movies on Indian comic superheroes? Granted production values will be lower, but I think we'll gobble them up. My personal favorite was actually Doga(antihero), followed by Nagraj(mythological with awesome snake superpowers), followed by Super Commando Dhruv(normal human but intelligent & strong). Maybe Nagraj would require lots of VFX, but I think something like SC Dhruv can be made in a lower budget. I vividly remember I wouldn't half enjoy my Batman and Superman comic books as much as I loved Raj Comics (only Nagraj was big enough to be printed in English). Family movie banaani ho toh Chacha Chaudhri pe banaa do with Sabu.

Just do it, Bollywood! Pileej.

Note: Krish and Shaktimaan were not based on comic books so excluding from discussion
