Part 6

Mishti shivered slightly due to the gush she felt of cold wind, she looked at Abir who was sitting beside her on the same cot, staring at her adoringly, she not able to handle his gaze lowered her head.

Abir smiled seein her red cheeks, she looks so cute were his thoughts, but he also noticed shivering hands of her, though little but she was feeling cold and little born fire was not helping to fight cold winds of night.

He picked his jacket which was lying on the cot and said

A-hanth daalo

Mishti who was unaware of his action as she was facing other side , got confused and turned towards him

M-Kya

The she saw jacket in ABir’s hand and understood what he was trying to say

M-Abir it’s ok mujhe iski zarurat nahi hai

Abir sighed and said-Mishti, tumhe thand lag rahi hai, and normal insaano ko jab thand lagti hai to unhe isi ki zarurt padti hai

Mishti make face-tum kehna kya chahte ho main normal insaan nahi hu

Abir smiled naughtily and said- oh to tum un ladkiyon jaisi ho

Mishti frowned and asked- kin ladkiyon jaisi

A-are vo yash raj ki movies ki fans jaisi, jo ladko se expect karti hai ki thand mein vo unhe apna jacket nikaalkar udhaye, but mishti practically dekha jaaye to usse thand lagna band nahi hota, jacket pehen na is better option

Mishti chuckled and whacked his arm

M-shut up

A-chalo ab jacket ki sleeves mein apna haanth daalo

Mishti smiled and Abir made her wear his jacket.

Abir smiled brightly seeing her tiny form covered in his huge jacket, she looked like a white bunny wrapped in white sheet, not able to control himself he pulled her cheeks

Mishti shocked by his action looked at him with wide eyes

M-Abir?

A-cute lag rahi ho

And winked at her, making her shook her head and smile shyly.

She cleared her throat and said

M-Abir vo mujhe tumse kuch baat karni thi

A-ha kaho na

M-vo actually maine college ke exams dene se pehle hi kayi jobs ke liye apply kiya tha, and aaj mujhe ek jagah se reply aaya hai, unhone kal mujhe interview ke liye bulaya hai

Abir smiled whole heartedly – That’s great news, I am sure tum kl apna best dogi and ye job tumhe hi milegi

Mishti smiled failntly- Thanks Abir , umm…… vo……. Tum ye baat apne ghar mein sabko bata doge na

Abir looked at her amusingly

A-Mishti itni jaldi kya hai, kal tumhe job mil to jaane do, hum mithaai lekar jaayenge sabko bataane

Misht smiled hesitatingly and asked- vo ABir badi maa ne kaha tha ki is baare mein mujhe tumhari family ko bata dena chahiye, unme se kisi ko ki problem na ho

Abir culd sense the sadness and uncertainty in her voice

A-agar problem hui to

Mishti looked at him with confused expression

A-batao na Mishti agar problem hui to tum kya karogi

M-abir mere liye career meri apni identity banana ka ek medium hai, main apne aapko aazmaana chahti hu, meri is duniya main kya position hai ye dekhna chahti hu

A-aur agar meri family ko is baat se koi problem hui to kya tum vo saare sapne bhul jaaogi jot um bachpan se dekhte aa rahi ho , vo saare sapne jo tumhare badi maa bade papa tumhari aankhon se dekh rahe hai tumhre liye

Mishti eyes welled up with tears- I am sorry Abir but main aisa nahi kar paaungi, mere liye ye bahut zaruri hai not just because ye mujhe karna chahiye but because main aisa karna chahti hu

Abir smiled proudly and said- to karo na mishti, parkho apne aapko, dhundho khudko, meri family aage chalkar tumhari bhi to family hogi, and vo bhi tumhe utna hi pyaar degi jitna tumhari family abhi deti hai, and main to hu hi tumhare saath, har kadam pe, (then drmatically) jaha bhi jaoge , hume hi paaoge

Abir winked and Mishti smiled a watery smile, getting overwhelmed by his words, it’s not a surprise for her that Abir is supporting her, but being a abandoned child and living in a family where some people always reminds her that she’s not a real part of this family, this gesture is something new to her from a stranger who entered in her life as a friend and now assuring her of his companionship for the rest of her life.

Not able to control this overflowing emotion, Mishti hugged Abir tightly, making him shocked by the sudden action, but he got that Mishti is emotional right now, so taking her in his arms he provided that emotional support to her which she needed the most this time.

His one was wrapped around her waist and one was caressing her hairs, she was lost in the warmth that his body was providing, she was kind of feeling safe and protected, like a butterfly in cocoon, like a child in mother’s womb. She couldn’t control her urge to cuddle herself more in him, so she did that.

Abir’s heart was beating at fast pace, the gesture of Mishti was making him overwhelm thinking that that she trust him, she feels good with him. He tightened his arm around her, other hand was still caressing her hair providing necessary comfort to her.

Both were lost in their safe heaven unaware of the storm that is coming to test them.

In Rajvansh house , a lady was talking to someone on phone, rather ordering her

“Mujhe vo saari information with proofs chahiye jo tumne collect kiye hai……..tumhe tumhare paise mil jaayenge lekin kal hi mere pas wo saari cheezein pahuch jaani chahiye”.

After keeping the phone

“Mishti Kuhu tum dono Meenakshi Rajvansh ki bahuein kabhi nahi ban sakti, jo baatein tum dono ke bhale ke liye tumhari family waalo ne mujhse chupaayi hai ab vahi baatein tumhara bura karne ke liye mere kaam ayengi”.

Here Mishti slowly came out of his embrace and gave him genuine shy smile, she was not feeling embarrassed at all, she could feel that she has that right, not knowing the name of right she just claimed, she cleared her throat and said

M-Abir mujhe..

A(cutting her in between)- Bhuk lagi hai

M-huh

A-mujhe bahut bhuk lagi hai, tumhe bhi lagi hogi, chalo dinner karte hai

She smiled and nodded her head in agreement.

Abir brings parcel of food and they both made themselves comfortable on cot.

M(big bright smile)-wow biriyani, one of my fav dish

A-really, mine too, infact agar mujhe koi biriyani and other food mein option dega, main biriyani hi choose karunga

M-really mujhe agar biriyani and daal baati churma mein se choose karna pade to I will pick daal baati churma

A-really, maine kabhi pehle khaaya nahi hi vaise

M-koi nahi, main khila dungi

Abir smiled, they are now being domestic

A-hmm tum apne haanthon se banaogi

M-ha

A-mere liye

M(frowned)-Abir tumhe khana hoga to tumhare liye h banaungi na

A-hmm but mishti , zyada teekha mat banana, tumhare garam mizaaz ki wajahse mujhe apni tabet nhi kharaab karni ok

Mishti gave him a deathly glare and said- Abir tum na kabhi nhi sudhroge

A(innocently)-arey ab maine kya kiya, main gujrati chokra hu, teekhe se zyada mujhe meetha pasand hai

M(little annoyingly)-really, to tum mujhe bata do tumhe kya pasand hai , min us hisaab se hi banaungi,bolo bolo,kya pasand hai tumhe

A(adoring smile)-mishti

Mishti got surprise hearing this, did he just said that

A-doi…mujhe mishti doi bahut pasand hai

Mishti shook her head smilingly while abir chuckled, they relished the food and enjoyed their anonymous talk.

After finishing the food, they were still talking.

Suddenly abir felt something wet on his palm, a water drop, he looked upward and he rain started falling.

Mishti ran under the tree as the tent also got wet, Abir joined her

They both were enjoying the smell of wet soil, sound of rain drops filling on earth surface.

Mishti was smiling looking ahead, Abir was smiling looking at her. He took her right hand in his left and forwarded her hand to feel the raindrops, her palm was on Abir’s and both were feeling the rain drops falling , the cold wind was sending shiver down her spine but Abir’s jacket was giving her a nice warmth.

MishBir are so amazing together and the way you're building their relationship is so beautiful. I love all their interactions so much, but this one was reallllllllly good. I remember how Kunal had reacted when Mishti had brought up the topic of working and now seeing Abir react in a completely opposite was just so meaningful. Matlab, I knew he would do this, but still.

AND I DEFINITELY WANT MISHTI TO WORK WITH ABIR AT THE NGO PLS!!
