Absolutely. She is the biggest one. The fact that such questions are coming up despite she not having more than ONE big Bollywood release in the last 2 years says alot. Deepika is still very much in news, she has an interesting project coming up and she is also one of the highest paid actresses. Alia comes close second but I feel Alia needs to be choosy about projects. She is signing anything and everything which might work against her, and decrease her success rate.

Anyway, I feel DP is still the leading one, and yes definitely bigger than Ranbir and Varun. I am not sure of Ranveer as his success rate has been quite good for the last 2-3 years as well.

She is still star, she will be star but she isn't a bigger or biggest as of now. she'll have to start working again if she want to be biggest star. There is a difference between a Star or a big name compared to how many people would go and watch a deepika padukone movie. Her name is definetely a big brand compared to a Varun dhawan or even ranbir kapoor. Slightly above or even equal to ranveer it’s difficult cause both the names makes them together even bigger.

It really depends what kind of genre deepika comes up with. So do i think chaapak will have a bigger opening than varun dhawans October? Yes. Neither ranveer or ranbir had a release which looks similar to chappak to be compared. The genre definitely plays a big role with a lot of other stuff to be compared. But for that she needs to come with such projects. Her big projects will always be with big a list actors soo.

The production value of gully boy or barfi are different compared to October,Lootera, Piku, Article 15, Neerja ,Pink,raazi and chappak will be exactly like that. Chappaks advantage besides deepika is that they will use acid attack survivors and it will definitely add to the buzz. Just like it happened with Article 15, Pink, Neerja

THIS. People need to factor in the genre of the movie before they make big claims.

She is the most sought after and biggest female actress in India currently. Right now, I don’t think anyone competes with her including Alia Bhatt, even though alia is the next number, or actually the current number 1 even. Deepika goes beyond flops/hits, she has engraved not only a strong position in cinema but has established herself as an actress who has been able to cement herself in a wide diversity of roles and be successful at it.

Among male actors in her generation, I think she is above them imo. But not senior actors such as khans.
