Ramayana and Mahabharat was a huge craze in India apparently. It was still the time when not everyone owned a TV. Even my Grandparents place was the only home with TV in the village, it seems around 100-150 ppl used to congregate to watch the shows even though no one knew Hindi.

Lol my mom told us she used to get pissed off bcoz it used to come on weeknds and she had to make tea and snacks for whole mohalla bcoz we had tv in 80ss. Lol
I remember how we used to get happy for small things. Like buying colour tv for first time in 2000 during diwali was such a big deal back then or buying computer when they were expensive. And trying ms paint for the first time on computer or playing super mario😆 then internet boom changed everything!

Dude mihir was national husband. 1000s of women filed petition when he was killed🤣star plus was bombarded with calls. At that time it was unique but later ekta milked it to this day and it still works lol
