Because she asked him who he really was ..but a Krishn was not yet ready to reveal ... he wanted to reveal that just when he was about to leave For Mathura ... because then she will realise who she actually was their rishtaa would change for ever ...

If she knows who he really is prior to him moving to Madhura --- then she should automatically know who she is !! Then there is no barricade between them!

Whatever Krishna does, He simply wants to increase Her affection for Him, to somehow draw Her attention towards Him. Similarly, all tribulation, as well as all jubilation experienced in the course of life’s sojourn is but Krishna’s attempt to get her attention, to elicit her reciprocation in various ways.

For Krishna, life is a never-ending Leela, for Radha still it is a question, seeking answers from him! Very interesting!
