Which actress is in the running for the best actress award?

Bad is an understatement

I looked at the upcoming releases of the year, only two others have a potential shot at the awards. Priyanka for The Sky is Pink and Rani for Mardaani 2. Bhumi Pednekar also has 4 films up for release. Let's see if she springs up any surprise.

^^Bhumi is a good actress but not popular enough to win the best actress award. At max she will be awarded critic's choice.

I found Taapsee Pannu average in Badla, but she might get a nomination for best actress as others liked her performance very much. I saw rave reviews on twitter.

we have zaira wasim's upcoming movie with her in lead but i doubt they will award her considering how the industry functions

I think Sonam will get a nomination even if she doesn't get the award in fine. I found her performance on point in ELKDTAL.

Haven't watched Manikarnika, MM or JHK.

Aloo had a massy character in GB , not really an award wala performance.

Tapsee was excellent in Badla IMO. She was believable as an absolute selfish douchebag businesswoman.

Kriti was entertaining in LC, but nothing really great.

Mrunal, Yami and Kiara were extended cameos in their respective hits.

TD mai Madhuri was well Madhuri, Kalank nahi dekha, nahi dekhna hai.

Baaki ish saal female performances yaad nahi hai.
