Prompt: A Romantic One-shot On PreRish In The Backdrop Of An Office

Prerna pushed open the office door quietly, she was used to Rishabh working late, but she had kind of thought he'd atleast come home early since today was their Anniversary, it wasn't like she wanted to be more important than his work, but she atleast wanted to be something he thought of as a priority. "Hello".

Rishabh stepped out from behind her and placed a hand over her eyes "Happy Anniversary, baby" he led her forward, then sat her down on the sofa, pulled his hand away and switched on the dim lights.

Looking around at every intricate detail, she covered her mouth "I don't know what to say" running her fingers over the soft petals of the white roses laying on the table, she swallowed hard upon seeing the reflection of the candles in his chocolate brown eyes.

"Say you like it" he stepped closer, never a man to show his nervousness unless he was around her "If you want we can go elsewhere, I just thought".

She cupped his cheek "It's beautiful and I love it".

"Are you sure there's nowhere else you'd rather be?" Truth be told he wasn't really used to romance, after his wife died all thoughts of loving someone or having another woman in his life died too.

Prerna wound his arms around her waist "There's nowhere else i'd rather be, than right here" resting her cheek on his chest, she sighed happily and allowed herself to be lost in the ambiance of the night. Lifting her head slowly, she nudged him "Dance with me".

"I" his cheeks turned a cherry red "I can't dance" he had never felt as bare as he did in that moment, he was always so confident and nothing ever scared him, but knowing he could let this beautiful woman down and embarrass himself prompted an emotion he had never felt before.

"I'll teach you" she entwined her fingers through his and tightened his arm around her waist "When I step forward, step back with the opposite foot, when I step to the right, step with me, same with the left" she bit her tongue to hide her laughter when he stepped on her foot numerous times.

Rishabh pulled away "See, I told you I can't do it" he brushed his hand through his hair and clenched his jaw "I just mess everything up".

"Wait, sit down" Prerna pushed him into his office chair and lowered herself onto his lap, resting her face in the crook of his neck she sighed happily "This is as good as dancing".

"But, it isn't good enough" and God he knew he wasn't good enough for an angel like her, he was fooling himself, she deserved so much better.

"It's more than good enough" she stood up "Come here".

And he did, because he could never say no to her. His hands found their way to her hips as she rested hers on his shoulders, before he knew it- they were swaying to the rhythm of eachother's heartbeats.

Prerna smiled up at him "See, you're dancing".

He couldn't help but smile back "Only with you my love, only with you".

I'm not sure if this was exactly what you wanted- I may have got carried away:)
