Yes there are different people from different cultures, backgrounds, personalities, religions, countries/environments, childhood experiences who will see it differently. The story allows different perspectives and emotions to arise in different people, depending on whose perspective they see it at the time. And what impression it lives on each person. How they relate to characters and the person's state of mind when watching the show.
To me both instances set the foundation of both characters, so much so that by the Ashard track I was not shocked by Aditya's behavior as the first episodes prepared me nor did I hate him when he said the things he said after finding Rajvir and Zoya together he was never perfect, and nor was Zoya, she has always been a mentally independent individual and unpredictable in what she would do next and it’s not always what we expect or want her to do. So now I'll explain to you how I saw the whole 2 tracks, parents and really opinions change all the time depending on whose side I wake up seeing the story from it felt like all the characters had a story to tell. Just as two people can experience the same thing differently. I like it most when i see both or all sides that way the story becomes even more intense somehow because I don' t know who to hate😳.
I felt Zoya had the biggest self control when it came to the 2 as she only slapped him exactly 2 times between the time periods we are talking about and only said inappropiate things about Pooja once, after his father publicly tarnished his name in court and Aditya raised his hand to almost slap her for the first time. the court proceedings did not bother him because no lies were said about either him or Pooja, had something been said than he might not have been celebrating, because as angry as he his reaction was to Zoya's words and slender to his dead cheating wife it struck a nerve. Harsh insulted her husband where it hurts a mans reputation and pride most his inability to provide and basically said he was prosticuting himself to both her and Pooja for money, in a very public court case and he got hurt by her just making an example of Pooja prosticuting herself, she did not say your wife was prosticuting herself, but asked how he would he feel if someone said she was. Couple that with the fact that her mother in law just had a heart attack and her mother just accused her of not being a good wife, basically saying she was responsible for not supporting him and realizing his financial situation which led to him having an affair, which is the mirror of what Sakshi said about Pooja being pregnant him not realizing or listening which led to abortion and her drifting to another man, yes physically she was not in prison, but she was in another prison of guilt and mostly false public allegations.
She trusted him not his dad because he is the one who she thought would understand all of this because of everything they have been through, yes the man cheated, but he was still her husband who was insulted in court she was in no mood to celebrate. Harsh said she led him to depression and might as well have said she was the one who drove him to prosticution and murder/suicide and financial ruin. Harsh took the choice to accuse her publicly from her, he had blamed her publicly and never asked for her permission to do it, because he knew she would not agree to embarass Madhu, and it would have serious consequences for her reputation and future and as a her lawyer he knew this but did not warn her and had even worse conseques for Madhu because she had no money to fall back on.
Why would she thank Harsh for basically saying she and Yash were responsible for the deaths while leaving his family reputation intact, she should thank Aditya for keeping her out of prison and other things, but not that. She didn't know about the sacrifice he was willing to make for her nor did he tell her. His father was willing to pin the whole thing on her before he he was willing to make that sacrifice and if her going to the house with divorce papers because she thought he had played a prank on her and planning a surprize birthday party for Aditya while wearing Pooja's dress is enough for him to want to pin a murder she did not commit and embarass her in court because his son was obessed "in his eyes" than Zoya's father has enough reason to hate the Hooda's too, for causing his daughter to be almost gunned down, sent to prison, kidnapped and almost drowned all because of Rajvir's vendetta against them which was made clear by the bomb scare and yes he helped her, but so had Zoya in the bomb scare and he never talked to her directly or sincerely and he had no reason to be hostile at this point as his reputation was intact all was well for him and depended on Zoya's silence.
Aditya's father only started being rude to Aditya after he saw what looked like Aditya pushing Zoya in her own house in his bid to intimidate her into stopping the case and she was also willing to later go to prison to get him back in her life and probably for the first time saw his daughter drunk after working in Aditya's house, both parents hated Zoya and Aditya and blamed every misfortune that happened on them on the other and both Waseem and Anjana insulted Zoya and Aditya every chance they got and Waseem never accepted their relationship until the very end, but in his bid to keep them apart as and bad things kept happening every time they were together he never tried to frame Aditya for murder and he never attempted to have him killed, he insulted him during the engagment and had a narcissist smile from seeing his daughter suffer, but Anjana too kept quiet when her son was in court for murder even when there was an order to shoot to kill, she even tried to blame Zoya for the murder knowing she did it and immediately rejected Aditya after he was accused of Harsh's murder, while Aditya stuck by her side after finding out she did cause Pooja's murder and she also framed him for the whole Ashard thing and publicly humiliated him just to get rid of Zoya. neither parents were perfect and the difference is Waseem is not as affectionate and in nature and we do not know enough about his past to understand why he was controlling whereas we know or suspect Anjana was never ok after Harsh cheated. Making Waseem less likeable and relatable. He wrongly forced his daughter to marry Ashard and left her in Mumbai and did other bad things to her for control, but he also came running when she was in trouble and would have come sooner had he known about the suicide attempt and did stop the wanting to force Noor into marriage when Roshna talked to him and he practically relocated to Mumbai to support her. He accepted his daughter back when she came back to him even after she rejected him when he refused to help with Aditya and had he met Aditya before he came back to Mumbai he would have liked him even less. To him Aditya saved Zoya for things he was responsible for to start with.
She had more self control because she only hit him twice before court case even when they did not like each other and he said many bad things about her husband she loved and had the right to Love, even after she had accepted the cheating he insulted her husband over the password because he was hurting. He buried his love for his wife who cheated in hurt and hurt in anger. Sometimes it was not a case of them not getting along but of Aditya verbally attacking her everytime they met and he never needed to slap her his words and actions were as hurtful as a slap. They were strangers, but it was like they were in a verbally abusive relationship where he attacked her everytime she mentioned her recently buried husbands name or he finds out something about him that hurt him, or she said something that offeneded him.
The limits I saw are the ones where he held her hand at the rooftop to stop her from talking about Yash whom he himself said anything about every time they met, he basically threatened her life yes he never let go, but one mistake and she could have died and he left her terrified and shocked. It was more than him breaking the illusion he led her to believe he had left her at the rooftop to die of pneumonia when her mother in law called him after it started raining and never told them he came back for her. Him helping her with Zosh wasn't enough especially since as soon as they got arrested he restarted his verbal taunts and left her there to think about her deeds like a misbehaving child, after he almost caused her death and terrified her the least he could have done was to keep quiet, bail her out to her face than apologize or be nicer and try to never lose his temper like that again . His conscious worked again after he realized Mahi was responsible.
Than there's the time he broke all of Yash's pictures at Madhu's when he came to give her purse back, she wasn't there. Things that are good and related to Yash when he is hurting made him angry and unable to see reason. He never slapped her but he did a lot. Even when Zoya spoke back to him it was not as intentionally hurtful as his words were to her. That is no way to break someone you are trying to helps' illusion. He agreed to the fake marriage because his brother made him realize how much he has actually been troubling her and the marriage was Rajvir's idea which Mahi guilted her into doing and the reason she was in that situation was because he stopped her from living Mumbai because he did not want to be alone. His convincing her and the employees sacrifice led her to agree to lie to the clients. She warned him that it was not a good idea and she accepted to take the consequences of anything that happened after, it was a matter of them deciding to do things together, she begged him to come back twice, but the second time it was his brother who convinced him and he took her home because he realized how much all of this could have been avoided had he supported or listened to her impractical looking fears of lying to the clients and he was the one who out of good intentions to get her out of grief unintentinally led Mahi on which led to her vengefull partnership, had he listened to her warnings that it was wrong to use Mahi like that and listened to her plea to not lie and let her go back to Mussorie " although the employees would have sufferd " Rajvir and Mahi would never have met and Rajvir's vendetta would have been limited to Aditya, so it was mostly his doing or his ideas that he ended up having to take her home and they were on the run because it was his idea too , he was scared for them both. Even if they were not friends any other behavior would have been wrong.
Zoya never blamed him for it even after it was clear Rajvir was after his family not hers. His good intentions brought her many troubles, Zoya's anger was very slow in building up she only gave him one slap after all of his many verbal attacks and still immediately forgave him after he saved her to her face. They were both mostly wrong in the first slap incident as she said those things about him unaware he was Pooja's husband and was standing behind her and that is when his verbal attacks started and both were in shock and grief.
She did the party because she realized he only hurt her because he was hurting so she wanted to prove their soupses only loved them. The picture stealing and diary snatching and planning a birthday party behind his back was wrong and also unawarely wearing Pooja's dress, so was his kidnapping and morphing her and Yash's pictures as revenge to hurt her not to only break the illusion, but because he thought she was fighting dirty. The man tormented her emotionally on puropose and he tormented himself by hanging around her when it came to her talking about Yash as he came to her work place repeatedly knowing she would be there and he did not need or care about the money Pooja stole from him to start the company he was there in the beginning for other purposes to destroy Zoya's faith in Yash as it was what Aditya envied the most the fact that Yash had a beautiful wife who saw only the good in him and she would not even think of sleeping with anyone else even in an inappropiate jest and could not figure out why he cheated as he only witnessed good in her, while his Pooja whom he was good to and would never cheat on gave all of their special moments to another man, he later stayed because she was there and helped more than attempt to destroy and still manage to bring her trouble.
She hurt him with the case, but she did start to question her actions at some point and considered all he had done for her, but her mother pointed her back to Madhu who had lost her public respect, self respect as she was bullied by her daughter and lost her son and husband, she had very little left, not including a home. Yes Aditya has done a lot of good and bad things to and for her. but so has Yash's mom things Zoya knew all about, she was more affectionate and for longer than Aditya and turned on her when Mahi made her believe she was responsible for her son's murder and kept the house ownership secret and kicked them out, she also sincerely worried about and took care of both her and her sister even when it looked like Aditya did not care, although she did not like them. When she started to see Zoya was not as bad as she thought she trusted her more than her daughter to keep their family reputation intact, which meant a lot to Zoya and didn't want her with Aditya as much as she did not want him with Mahi, she had a relationship with Madhu too and she felt guilty for not trying harder to build on that relationship when her husband was still alive and for not being aware of his troubles and being unable to help him which led to his death and her trust in a friend and choice in lawyer led to even more pain for Madhu as Yash's name and little reputation he had left had been tarnished leading to his family suffering even more. That is where her desperation to restore their name stemmed from because she knew how much it meant to Madhu as she told her it is all she had, she could not give her back her son or go back in time and see his troubled face as she was in her own world at the time and help him which would have prevented all of the steps that lead to his death, but she could at least prove his innocence at any cost and give her back her dignity, that is why she said their love was pure (not that cheating is ever pure) because in her eyes and the diaries eyes and because of what her mother said she was not a good companion to her husband she was selfish and did not support him, she was thinking at least he got someone to talk to and help him as she was too pre occupied with her own things to care for her own husband and according to the diary both Pooja and Yash were inlove and Pooja was also feeling neglected by Aditya and according to the logic portrayed by her mother and other people before the court case Aditya too was not as perfect of a husband to Pooja as he thought he was and thought he atleast needed to accept that. He had also said things to her along the lines of "what is wrong with you that your husband cheated" and "why she could not save her husband from ruining his life" and the "beautiful face but maybe not so good in bed" comments were accusing too. His words as well as her fathers words were what kept on playing in her head as she was about to kill herself more than the actual cheating.
Aditya was there when everyone left and he wanted to save everyone and risked his freedom for her and took the blame and saved her even inbetween the taunts and tried to save her company and saved her from suicide, but he himself was never perfect and he and others coursed both physical and emotional harm to Zoya too which led to self destructive behavior to make up for her husbands deeds, people do not always stop loving their spouses because they cheated as they both still loved them but Aditya was too hurt by his parents past actions to let himself admit it and wanted to move on. Zoya had little reason to hide her love for Yash and that love hurt him even more because his own wife whom he was faithful to cheated and Zoya was still loyal to Yash first.
These same actions are why he fell inlove with her, because these actions are what made him admire her, hurt him and maybe partially why he envied Yash and it was her who said she will not let others actions have power over her which led to him believing he could find Love again, its also why he trusted her to take care of his mom after they seperated, he knew she would take good care of his mother at all costs and he knew inspite of her anger towards him she still loved him, because he has seen that, that is how she acts when she is in love with someone even if they hurt her, he saw her try by all means to give back Yash's mothers pride and its maybe why he was so disapointed when she accused Anjana of trying to kill them, his pride became her pride.
Just as his actions positive or negative taught and enspired her to fight for what she wants and believes in and his taking the fall led to a deep seated respect for him and a protectivenes for his pride and public image. She knew what big of a sacrifice he had made, something she didn't do, or think of doing. He publicly slandered his own name to protect Pooja and everyone, it was his choice right or wrong it was his, while her name and Yash's name were dragged through the mud by his dad without her permission or at least knowledge, he freed her from her obligations towards Yash's family and protected his wifes name and I think protected her reputation from further slander, which is something he did not have to do and thats when she started to really see him and she could let go of Yash and he let his anger towards Pooja go which allowed him to finally grieve for her, but also lead to his depression and guilt. She also did force him to come back too and made him promise to never leave her, because this time she too did not want to be alone, just like when she was leaving for Mussorie he did not want to be alone. which could have led to something as big as the court case, but luckily for us didn't and she slowly restored his pride and happiness, which did not lead to bad things happening, because she had better tactics on how to heal him, just as he had better tactics on how to save her husbands reputation and his families by extension that did not lead to others going to prison, her advice also led him to go away hurting his family.
It was wrong for her to put both him and his family at risk and hurt him after everything he had done for her and so was taking the diary, reading it and using it to find evidence, but these are the reasons why I was not so mad at her for the court case re opening. both hurt each other both intentionally and unintentionally and both tried helping each other which led to more hurt and both were wrong and right and blamed each other for their failed marriages. And talked each other into doing things that led them into a lot of trouble, but these things are the foundation of their love and how they brought out and held on to each others good qualities. Aditya has always been faster to see things and act on them, whereas Zoya was always slower, but she was also aware of other things or unawarely taught him things that came more naturally to her too, or came because of him.
He did or tried to do good inbetween all of the taunting and anger, but most of which Zoya was not aware of, he was good yes, but for sometime he made sure she mostly saw his anger, anger that was covering hurt and loneliness. He slowly opened up about Pooja and his hurt and he even slower showed him his good side, he fought her for her and helped heal her, but did harm too along the way, out of good and bad intentions, so did she. For a long time she mostly saw Madhu and at one point Mahi, because she really did Love her husband and is not very good at hiding her feelings, even when she is hurt, she is most likely to shut her heart but likely to still help him if persuaded and so does the same go for Aditya, but his wifes name was as I remember only threatened once.
The parents were not perfect, its just that the Hooda's have this warmth, passion, confidence, honesty and farmiliarity with most people about them at times that make you fall in love with them. Waseem did a lot of bad things, but he did good too, they were just overshadowed by his need for control and maybe the writers would have gone deeper for healing purposes between him and his daughter had they had time to do it, for instant he provided a good childhood for his daughters, a little too safe, but he was loyal and did not hit Roshna, although she seemed to have little voice, which is something I have rarely seen in many husbands.
