I believe we come from different understanding while watching this show as a medical drama. I am used to watch many medical dramas where characters leave a hard imprint on mind with the realistic portrayal. This genre is sensitive from every aspect. Indians have made a good medical drama- Roshni- ek nayi ummeed was a proof of it.

And since most come from non-medical background, it becomes all the more important for the makers to either skip the technical know-how or show it responsibly in few scenes they show. Medical dramas are not just about entertainment, they are also about the practical stuff of this field.

The realistic stuff of this genre should trump the unrealistic stuff even with the disclaimer they put in the beginning. That wouldn't turn the show into a documentary but instead make it realistic to feel the genre.

First impressions shouldn't be d last impressions. Atleast if it conerns Itv.

Did not watch the original season but yeah bcoz of a certain Dr. Armaan Malik watched quite a bit of DMG ( not d entire series)

If Sanjeevani2 has more to do with the first season then a lot of medical procedures and protocols need to be taken care of. I think when S1 was launched it was more realistic in nature ( as per my seniors)

So after a good 10 years post DMG and attending to various health concerns pertaining to my family, i did find the attending to patients by resident doctors pretty gross. The change of clothes, not really called for. The main lead is a new actor who looks okayish.

Hairstyles won't change, even 10 years ago, it was similar.

The bickering amongst doctor's existed during DMG days too. It was somehow fun to watch then as there was the right balance of comic element attached to it.

Only wish senior artists like Mohnish Bahl, Rohit Roy, Gurdeep kholi remain and are not just supporting characters. Cvs shouldn't rush into any romance track without proper progress.

writers can explore various social issues in the current series.

I think this time more focus will be on Dr. Ishani Arora and how she evolves at Sanjeevani.

Having good intentions is okay but asking someone for money under a lie could be risky because the doctor is risking not only his medical license but the hospital's reputation as they can be sued under the pretext of being nice to poor patients. Also, yeah I generally find it cringy when female doctors or science majors have shown to have open hair or short dresses while working. If you're in a lab, you can't risk your chance of getting chemical spills all over you or chemical burns especially where I work. Also, Sid can change in a bathroom if that was available. I know multitasking is great but you can do the same if you have a nearby room for changing.

K, my 'distracting lips' wala comment irked some members here. I shouldn't have said that.

I'm sorry Surbhi😊

OT:

whats with this hurry, rushing everything in. it looks like everyone is trying hard to prove* themselves from 1st day itself except Dr.Shashank.

*as doctors/big hearted/hot/intelligent/stickler/bubbly.............🤪

It's not just risky. It looked like an attempt to justify what Sid was doing that malpractices are fine as long as your other intentions are noble & how a doctor can have separate yardsticks for his patients on the basis of their financial background. This malpractice issue is real because there are doctors who do such questionable things in reality & it's not right. I hope Sid's patients go for second opinions as well & don't get fooled by what he says. There are always ways to help the poor patients, which he can go for without resorting to malpractices

These things should be avoided especially when theyr e setting up in hospital background. Arshi you remember movie Anand .... there also Dr Prabhakar in his clinic was shown to have a similar practice if you remember. But definitely that era was different and today it's different and in big corporate hospitals such things don't happen. Malpractice needs to be condemned.

I haven't seen the movie but they should avoid such things.

Doctors already have a maligned reputation in this country, especially the ones in top most hospitals, thanks to the media & some cases where patients were cheated. They should strictly avoid this sort of portrayal to give such malpractices a grey zone because they simply aren't.

Highlight the bureaucracy, politics, conflict & all. But stay away from justifying things that need to be condemned.

I wish, in that scene, Sid should've been reprimanded for his method of saving lives.
