You know, I have always wondered if Minnie would address Hanuman Uncle as her father one day, and if she did what would she call him?
- Dad - don't think it fits their dynamic - too English, which we know how good HS is at! 😉
- Papa - simple, modern, would be ok.
- Papaji - I think this one should be reserved for Ashok and not shared with HS.
- Bauji - sounds a bit old-fashioned for Minnie but it could be an option (reminds me too much of Amrish Puri 😆)
- Bapu - this has been my favorite because it has that Haryanvi feel to it, in line with HS' heritage, but especially after I saw the way HS called his FIL Bapu, I really wanted her to call him that one day. Also, when they played this song during her training for the karate championships (or Japani kushti as HS called it): Bapu sehat ke liye tu to hanikaarak hai.
The question is, will she start calling him one of the above before Hanita get married? It would be interesting to see how people react to it.
Perhaps she will always call him Hanuman Uncle even after he marries her mother. Let's see.
