Ranveer didn't get coz he played Villian role Khiliji but he has chance in coming years

Changing looks in every movie doesn't make him a great actor. Just makes him look flashy. Your favorite can't stop his overacting whether onscreen or offscreen. There was nothing special in his performance. Khilji was interesting character, that's it, which made him look grand. The writing made him likable.

Ab ye to hamesha ka routine hai, favorite nahi jeeta to angoor khatte hai bol do. No award can be 100% non-controversial. Juries are also human, but they still know more than blind fans.

Changing looks is an important part of acting. You cant look the same in every single movie. Ranveer delivers on the acting front - even in films where he is not in a particular get-up like DDD, GB or Befikre.

To phir award make-up aur costume department ko milna chahiye, not to actor. Yeah sure, but DDD and befikre are not counted as his best performances. Shows that the accolades he gets for his performances has more to do with his flashy getups.

He has given lots of strong performances which did not have a get-up:

- BBB

- Lootera

- DDD

- Gully Boy

i wouldnt even consider Ram Leela or Simmba as "get ups"

Gully Boy ke liye milna chaiye tha Ranveer ko.

Teen awards de dete naa... Do toh de hi diye hain. Hahaha.

Except gully boy no hoopla of awards was created for other performances you mentioned. So the characters only where he changes looks is considered award worthy.

It doesnt matter, his performances were still critically acclaimed.

They are government awards so they are always going to have a political shade even though they shouldn't. Political institutions are always compromised and even more so in volatile countries like India.

Industry awards like the Oscars also have their biases but biases are still different from actual political control the way government based awards have. The same kind of BS goes on when it comes to Padma Shri and all that too.

So weird to read India's name as a volatile country... even more scary is that it may be true.

Best actor award nahi mila na? Critical acclaim bahut films ko milta hai. Award kisi ek ko hi milega. Nomination Salman ko bhi milta hai har saal. That's for doing mujra in award functions.
