Wanted to make a quick post about the scene that touched my heart today.

Minnie's conversation with Mickey where she highlighted how she wanted Hanuman Uncle to walk through the door and say: "Arre chori, tu tension na le. Everything is well, everything is fine. Mein taari mummy se shaadi karunga. Aur mein usse voh pyaar dunga jo usse kabhi mila hi nayi."

It was a fantasy. It was what Minnie wanted to take place so that they can all have their own little happily ever after. But it didn't happen exactly as planned.

I had noticed earlier in the episode when they showed everyone seated, that the place beside Babita was empty. I had assumed either Minnie will sit there since the puja was for her or it's the place for her husband but since she's not legally married, it will stay empty.

But then walked in Hanuman Uncle. A reassuring glance to his daughter, he proceeded to remove his shoes and take his rightful place beside Babita. That simple act of him sitting down wordlessly, it was superb! In a single move, he asserted his rights an didn't leave room for any to question him either (not that they would have). The emptiness that was looming around Babita was now filled with both his presence and their daughter who took a place between them.

It was an extremely beautiful image as it exemplified how they are both connected to each other via Minnie. The relationship between Hanuman and Babita is still very delicate and complicated. It has a lot of entanglements that need to be cleared out but the one thing that remains absolute is their mutual love for Minnie. That unconditional love is something that can never be questioned.

Hanuman Uncle took a moment to look at Babita, perhaps to consider how she might feel about his answer. After all, it will also impact what his relationship with her is too. But one backwards glance at Minnie was all he needed to answer with an unwavering voice, "Father."

That's it. Just one word to solidify a relationship once and for all. And what better time to do it than before a holy fire being officiated by a priest. The relationship, while not legal, has in a sense been blessed by the gods. Once again, it added to how pure Minnie and Hanuman Uncle's father-daughter bond is. They're not blood, yet they have done and continue to do so much for each other.

Aahh, I'm gonna stop here before I botch the post (and perhaps even the scene) even more than I already have. But it was extremely symbolic in terms of its visualization, direction and dialogues and for one, am super happy that we got such a scene.

Loved this post!

Again, we speculated so many things around how she would officially become his daughter, and look how beautifully they did it today. That scene will stay with me for a long time.

YES!

Believe it or not, when the scene played I was reminded of our conversation. It wasn't OTT nor cliched. It was rather really organic and simple, not to mention absolutely beautiful.

I was just going the whole time. I loved the way Minnie reacted. Ashnoor was wonderful in those scenes too as a daughter overwhelmed by this gift. I can't wait for the day she will publicly say he is her father or that she is his daughter. It will be just as beautiful.

I think that day will soon arrive due to this trial. They're once again gonna be put underneath the public's eye, and their relationships will once again be questioned. This time around though, they won't hesitate to answer as they know exactly who they are to each other.

Hahaha, can I just go out there and call ourselves twinsies? There's no way that we can mirror each other's thoughts that well on multiple occasions. 😆

It's a bit freaky, but it also means that we have damn fine writers on the show whose thought process goes very deep. They write for audiences to be able to grasp the concepts at many layers. You and I probably dig a little deeper so we find similar things there.
