Imrati's mystery has Shades of Rebecca

First of all, those of you who don' know who/what Rebecca is, Let me say it is a black/white Hollywood classic suspense movie directed by Alfred Hitchcock and adapted from a novel by the same name.

Today I found some shades (not exact) of Rebecca in PB.

What do we know about Imrati? Whatever we have heard from HS, Laala and Naembi. There are many questions that come to my mind

1. HS has given the impression from his talks that he loved Imrati immensely, lost her and is drinking due to that. So if he loved her so much, why is there no picture at all of Imrati anywhere in the house walls or even in his wallet or may be in a book, etc? Why has he locked up everything in a trunk?

Let's say he feels sad and the picture reminds him of her and so he keeps them all locked up. Fine.

But today when Mini opened the trunk, he was furious. Yes, Mini did not take his permission. But I felt that anger had a different meaning.

In Rebecca, all her belongings were locked up in one wing of the mansion. Her husband Max did not want to look at anything that belonged to her. But all the maids, butler, etc of the house claimed that her husband loved her very much. When Max's new wife opens that room and looks through Rebecca's belongings, Max gets furious. Nobody in the house and Max himself told the truth to the new wife. She finds out towards the end. Max does tell her before the mansion gets burned down.

2. HS said Imrati ke pran nikal gayee...something on those lines....but how? Why is HS so upset? Is it because he could not save Imrati? Or is it because he did not want to save her?

What if Imrati was having an affair with someone else and HS found out that the baby was not his? They have a fight. Perhaps Imrati tumbles down the stairs. HS probably could have prevented the fall but he did not out of anger. He did not actively kill her but did not stop it from happening either.

In Rebecca too, she has an affair with another and Max finds out. Rebecca's death is accidental but I think there was no witness and hence, everybody blamed Max. What if something similar happened here?

3. HS has said several times his father was a monster. What if his father raped/had affair with Imrati? Just imagine what HS may have gone through? What if his father is in jail and not dead like everyone thinks?

4. Laala and Naembi are definitely telling the truth that HS truly loves Babita. But when it comes to Imrati, they are hiding/avoiding questions. Why?

5. What if the impression HS gives about Imrati is something he expected his Imrati to be or thought her to be but reality was different?

Sorry for the long post. But the episode was so intriguing that I could not stop myself. And yes, I love suspense movies/novels. 😊

I know i sound sadist but still i would love those twists.but somehow i dont want a gray imrati,i have come to love this faceless woman due to our hanuman singh .

So,i thought there was a case about her death.That much is sure coz of that red file.now,rape or murder.i Don't know.I have a feeling its a rape case and then pregnanc. .that explains the jhachki thing.That can also explain the guilt of hanuman.

Whoa... I don't know how to feel about this tbh. HS has always been the type of guy who is very rational about the people around him. And by rational I mean being frank and honest about their character and not glossing them up for any reasons.

Let's see what the CVs come up with but your idea is definitely intriguing.

HS agony is on a very different level. That's what I felt. There is something that's causing him excruciating pain. It may be his guilt, or love, or something else....whatever it is I hope makers make it different from other desi shows. Also, HS has mentioned his father so many times. I have a feeling CVs will use that in this mystery. Let's see.

There are too many red flags. I find it a bit that HS does not even want to look at Imrati's pic once in a while. If he loved her so dearly, kabhi kabhi he could have looked at her pic. Ironically, he mentions her all the time. the two things don't match.

I agree. HS has always kept his dad and Imarti on opposite spectrums. Imarti on the light side and his dad on the dark. Like many people have speculated, his dad might have a hand in Imarti's death. If not, then why haven't we ever gotten word on his whereabouts or status? If he's dead, then why not say so? If alive and not in jail, then where is he?

No I don't want HS in involved in anything to do with her death at all. Than they will butcher his Character as well which we will not like at all.

Maybe it was a Love Marriage and it was a Honour killing or even Suicide, maybe due to misunderstandings or killed by some one that HS put in Jail or something along those lines.

Can't be honour killing since HS did mention that Imarti used to go to her mykaa and he used to accompany her...

Didn't sound like it was a love marriage because he said he fell in love with her on their wedding night.

I don't really want a murder mystery or some other sinister thing. I definitely don't want HS to have any hand in her death.

There's a reason why I'm watching this show and not the other ones that mess with your head.

No it can't be honor killing. And I am pretty sure HS didn't do anything bad to her. But he may have seen /heard something and was unable to save her. See that is why I brought Rebecca up. Everyone in the novel keeps suspecting the husband. It is only in the end that it is revealed that he was innocent. I am not saying they will copy Rebecca. But there are shades I saw today and similarities. The movie was remade in Hindi too. 1964. Kohra with Biswajeet and Waheeda Rehman. Had many hit songs. Bekaraar karke hume yoon na jayiye, aap ko humari kasam laut aayeye.

I give credit to Rajita Sharma for this writing. They have managed to capture everybody's attention with this new mystery. I hope trp increases a bit.
