I don't think they would have lasted forever. But they wouldn't have lasted much longer. Neetu expedited the breakup.

He has no reasons to dump Alia anytime soon as she is still young so won’t be craving marriage like his exes and she is good for his brand as their association makes him more appealing to youth and fresh; which is what he desperately needed after his box office failures and the tough competition from younger actors. He operates in the same way for every girl he is with. The only reason why it worked differently with Deepika is because she dumped him the second time he cheated. He will dump Alia in a few years’ time, when she is not the « it » thing anymore and wants to settle down. He will date a younger girl then. Men don’t have the biological clock ticking so he will either end up like Salman or have a child in his late 40’s.

Neetu and Ridhima boycotted the Kapoor Christmas lunch when Ranbir brought Katrina.

I think that was pivotal in his decision to breakup with Katrina.

Ranbir is just a mama boy who cannot take charge of his life. Has his mother been supportive I think he would have married Katrina. Despite his commitment issues, he really loved her : he freaked out after the GQ interview and tried to mend things by taking her to the Christmas lunch. They were both so happy, it was all over their faces ...

Neetu is one misogynistic woman : the way she talks about Ranbir's girlfriends being evil witches and her boy being so naive and innocent ...

I don't think he is in love with Alia : it's just that it's easier to date her...

I don’t think we’ll ever know what goes on behind the scenes, but Neetu for sure didn’t like her but I believe Katrina wanted to get married. She hadn’t signed Anything post Jagga for a long time, was ready to settle down, and then after their breakup, she hit her career low.

Not sure if Bira abruptly broke it off, cheated, or Neetu made him, or she wanted marriage/ else breakup.

Anyways, they both are to depressing, dwelling souls to last together. I don’t follow Bira, but Katrina is a whole new person after that and she changed for the better.
