Why are you guys taking it in a negative way.... It just showing how those women were superwomen who took such great steps despite being normal family person....

I think any woman managing house and career is superwomen and needs to be applauded...

I don't know what to make of it.. it's so meh with the whole phallic imagery and the 'married woman sanskari woman' narrative.

And Akshay's voice sounds fake as in when you see celebrities endorsing a product they don't believe in. You can so see through it.

Of course, women (and men too!) are amazing multitaskers.. But it’s the cheesy presentation that’s cringey. Like, look at these ordinary, homey women who manage houses but sent something to Mars. The movie is driving in that stereotype then saying they defied it. Like sindoor, etc.

You’d think they’d say F&*K ya! TheSe brilliant ladies, they did something no one else could! Because they are smart ladies who were ahead of their time.

Not sure why we have to clutch at those cliches, because what these ladies did is beyond brilliant.... cuz now this Taapsee is saying we need Akki on the poster to sell the movie. Damn.

I took it the other way. A woman who is wearing a Sindhoor or Mangal Sutra need not be regressive. She can still be an ambitious woman dreaming of reaching Mars. But yes. Akki's voice is monotonous.

But that's how those scientists in real life are.... They are normal people like you and me but have the passion to do something extraordinary....

I think it's a boost to all those women who can't fullfill their passion cause they feel they are married now so it's too late...

Yes, I found it a little cheesy but that's what works with our society...so that's what the director is giving them...

Exactly... It's like showing our men and women that see you don't need an specific age or special situations to fulfill your dreams...

Actually we women here are not into sindoor and all. So for us it's regressive. But those who are into so called housewife, sanskari things (both men and women) , for them it shows that you don't have to be so called ultra modern and all to become successful. You too can be.
