Somewhere have a feeling that Rohit is very much aware about his Dad past but then again he has already talked about falling in love once and that girl hugging and gifting the watch and ganpati idol flashback made me convinced he was in a relationship. Rohit and his dad are working on certain decorum of albiet in secret, he also questioned his mom as what you are going to choose me or your husband if circumstance prevails. Veena Sippy is very much innocent and still seem to be in dark regarding his husband affair, she will hell break loose once get to know whatever has been done by his husband. Rohit seems more like a guilt triping person rather being in love. Unknowingly he is pulled towards Sonakshi because she has always proven him wrong, he might think as a friendlish vish but that going to be more than that but then again he hasn't overcome the break - up, an unclosed affair. Does Sona car has something to do with mishap but then again she being pure and innocent can never engage herself by running away. She would have herself got arrested if involved her ex bf Karan might be involved though.

Though i really want to believe your version very much, i differ in one part alone.As others pointed out, it was something related to his first love and Mumma sippy must be aware of it. But, the part i agree with you is may be daddy sippy has this sick EMA thing and brother sippy Rohan must be aware of it.May be that's why he is absconding from situations suddenly .And,, the rest of the family are oblivious to this except Doctor surgeon who knows this matter somehow.

Interesting theory! My personal theory is that the same night Sonakshi finds the truth about Karan (he throws the ring at her face), she runs on the street and somehow almost gets hit by a car. In order to avoid hitting her, the car swerves. Sonakshi probably faints and someone sees her/takes her home. On the other hand, the car gets into an accident. Rohit’s girlfriend and her mom/dad or a loved one were in that car. It’s a big surgery so Rohit and his dad are called upon. They are unsuccessful and the girl is heartbroken. She blames Rohit and leaves without giving him the chance to apologize. Hence, Rohit’s dad knows about the surgery (giving him the chance to berate his son). Sometime after, Rohit finds out about his father’s infidelity. I think they are two separate issues that somehow tie in to the tension between father and son. I think this December incident is just a Rohit and Sonakshi connection... it’s indirect enough to not cause a lasting impact. Sonakshi didn’t directly hurt Rohit’s girlfriend (similar to ipkknd where fl did not cause death of ml’s parents but is linked through family). I think it’s also why Rohit just wants to talk to her once. Rohit’s mom knows because I’m sure he told he about the girl and when the girl leaves him, his mom probably became his biggest support system. It also explains why she is extra caring about Rohit. She has seen him at both his strongest and weakest. Anyway that’s what I think. But your theory is also quite interesting!
