Prerna softly opened her eyes. The morning rays came flashing down upon her half closed eyes, making her wince the eyelids.
"Shivi....", she murmured. It was only the sound of the bangles that brought her back to reality. Alarmed, she sat up straight on the bed.
"Morning, Mrs. Bajaj", he knocked on the door. She sat, just blinking her heavy eyes.
He entered slowly, not bringing in the hectic rush with him.
"Your day's schedule has been lined up already, Jaya will help you out. Have a nice day Mrs. Bajaj", he said, whilst smilingly unusually upon the last words.
Bed tea and breakfast was served soon after. Prerna felt quite numb. The last day's events came rushing down her mind. Destiny it was, indeed. She spoke nothing, except letting Jaya know that she preferred tea to coffee, in the mornings.
She found herself tucking her saree pallu on the shoulder, soon after. A look at herself in the mirror was enough to assert the fact that she was a Mrs. now. A married woman.
Sighing to herself, she sat in the car and left for Sharma Niwas. The ritual of visiting the maykaa right after the marriage awaited her.

She knew it would not be the most pleasant thing to do. But getting disowned by the family was something she wasn't prepared for.
Veena refused to see her, Shivi hardly acknowledged her presence, that too by only rough barbs and scorns.
She sat, at the bus stop. Streams of hot tears raced down her cheeks spreading the kohl on her eyes. She couldn't remember exactly for how long she'd been aimlessly sitting here.
She felt miserable. And dejected. And unwanted. So much for love.
A car screeched right in front of her. A familiar face walked up the footpath.
"Aap rasam ke liye gayi nahi, Mrs. Bajaj?", he asked.
She looked up at him straight, right in the eye. She wanted to let him know of her miseries and doom, inflicted by him.
He helped her stand up.
"Chaliye", he said.
"Kahan?", she managed to utter.
"Rasam karni hai naa? Aur Kahan? Aapke ghar"
And they found themselves driving towards the Bajaj mansion.
