I had no idea about this guy until today, wow and there are stars who attended his kid's wedding inspite of all this?

Who is Karim Morani? Why is he so important to Bollywood?

With Karim Morani's surrender to the police in connection with a rape case, the Bollywood producer has come in the spotlight. A 25-year-old Delhi-based woman has alleged that Karim Morani drugged her and raped her several times over a period of one-and-a-half years, starting July 2015. She has also accused him of clicking nude pictures of her and threatening to leak them.

But who is Karim Morani and why is he so important to Bollywood?

Karim Morani is one of the founders of Cineyug, an entertainment company that dabbles in film production, live performances, award shows etc. The company's website has several testimonials from Bollywood A-listers. Shah Rukh Khan writes, "Cineyug as an entertainment company to me is like a family," while Aamir Khan says that he has "always enjoyed working with them".

According to their website, "Cineyug has been the name behind some of the most memorable, larger-than-life events like the Filmfare Awards, Zee Cine Awards, Screen Awards, Big Star Entertainment Awards." They have also organised numerous world tours featuring actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor and Preity Zinta.

Not just this, Karim Morani is a top producer, having financed films like Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone-starrer Chennai Express. He co-produced Rohit Shetty's Dilwale, which featured Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. He has also been the associate producer of Farah Khan's Happy New Year and Anubhav Sinha's Ra.One.

In 2011, Karim Morani had come under the scanner for his alleged involvement in the 2G spectrum scam. Allegedly, he facilitated the transfer of Rs 200 crore to the DMK-run Kalaignar TV, taking a commission of Rs 6 crore for the transaction.

Now, a Delhi-based aspiring actor, a rape survivor, has spoken out for the first time about the ordeal she faced, exposing the rot, running deep in the Bollywood industry. The survivor recounted the horror for the first time on television and exposed top Bollywood producer and a close friend of Shah Rukh Khan, Karim Morani. Morani, who is known for backing films like 'Chennai Express' and 'Ra.One' is facing rape charge and is currently out on bail. The survivor had arrived in Mumbai spent most of her time with the Morani family as she knew them before coming to the city. Karim Morani allegedly abused her for the first time in 2015, after he spiked her drink. He had also clicked pictures of her without consent and would later blackmail to circulate them if she revealed the details to anyone.

While speaking to Republic TV, she recalled the incident that happened in Hyderabad on September 12, 2015, months after she was first abused by Morani. She said, “He calls me and says I want you to come over here. I said I cannot as I had my family over. He threatened me that he would circulate the pictures and send it to my family. I lied and had to go for a day and I went. He did not let me get out of the room and sneaked me in. It was on the top floor and the rooms were not aligned, it was always like zig zag. He told me the opposite side was Shah Rukh and the other side was Varun Dhawan and there was Rohit Shetty on the other side."

When the reporter, reaffirmed the presence of the cast of 'Dilwale' in the hotel, she said, "Yes, they were all in the hotel. But the problem is I think they were all shooting and I would not know what time they came. Even the food he would just order in the room.”

Talking further about Karim Morani's close association with Shah Rukh Khan, the survivor said, “I do not know how Shah Rukh Khan can work with him. I do not to intend to drag him in. But how can anyone work with someone who has underworld links and is connected to the 2G scam.”

This must not be worse than what kangna is doing otherwise our holier than thou peace loving members would have unabashedly n relentlessly taken shahrukh Khan to cleaners for having associated with diwwod man. Afterall, what he did is just a few bomb blasts here n there..nothing more than that. Its kangna and her nationalism that is the biggest threat to humanity and not the terrorism, obviously😆

I am very surprised, this guy was also attacked by the underworld and he was accused as early as 2011 in the 2g scam. I found it very surprising that this guy has invested in almost every movie of SRK and was accused of rape as early as 2015.

He was jailed in the 2g scam, then was acquitted along with all 2g accused like Kanimozhi and Raja and the rest.

This guy was then attacked by underworld, wonder why ?

then came the rape accusation for which he was arrested coz there was enough proof but he is not out on bail.
