3 Nov 2005 Update

Anjana, you haven't updated yet, so I saw yesterday's serial on my VCR. I am giving a very brief summary below

Abhi Constructions Office - Abhi, Thuls, Sivadas, Krishanan sir, Vishwanathan sir all are standing at the entrance. Thuls and Sivadas are having strong words, with Sivadas accusing Thuls of messing up the aftermath of the bomb discovery. Sivadas says he would haev handled it much better.

Sivadas also tells Abhi that Thuls came up to him and said that Sivadas 'was drooling over Abhi'. Abhi is disgusted and looks very upset. Thuls is very annoyed and goes and pulls Sivadas' shirt. Abhi gets angry and asks Thuls to leave Sivadas. Then Thuls walks off in anger. Sivadas puts some more ice on Abhi and leaves. Abhi looks very upset.

Sivadas' chela and he have their usual session. I couldn't make much of the dialogue here but the summary is the chela mootufies the scene by saying abhi madam looked veyr pleased with you etc etc.

Arti's house - Arthi is sitting with her back to the pillar. Her mother in law calls sundari and asks her to give coffee to Rajesh. Kalakala comes and yells syaing why sundari shoudl give coffee to Rajesh, she was not Rajesh's wife or the house servant. Rajesh hears commotion and comes out. Kalakala pushes the coffee cup. her husband comes in and asks her to calm down.

Just that time Kala's parents come into the house. They look poor but are a very decent sort. They say to kala that they heard her voice at the end of the street and asked her if she was fighting with mapillai. Then they enquire the father in law's health. They also announce that Sundari's marriage has been fixed. At this, Sundari and Rajesh look at each other and start visibly sweating. Arti looks at both of them and is very tense. Kala looks very veyr happy that sisters wedding is fixed.

At Abhi's office, Krishanan sir come sand tells Abhi that Thuls has left his house keys with neighbour and has left without forwarding address. He tells Abhi gently that she shoudl not have given up Thuls in front of Sivadas. She says she didnt' mean to upset him, she was only concerned about Ushas marriage with Adi. She says that because Thuls complained about Adi, Adi was dragged to police station and now will not accept Usha.

I thought that was ridiculous. We are atlkign of a bomb attack here and she is worried about getting Adi and Usha back. RIDICULOUS

Krishanan sir says to Abhi that she should not have hurt Thuls. She tells him that she will find Thuls back and make him understand her point of view.

Abi gets call from Vishwanathan asking her to come to meet NRI as they want to sign the project with her. She says she is worried about Thuls and is not in a state of mind to discuss business issues, but he insists. So half heartedly, she tells Krishnan sir to bring her portfolio and prepares to leave for Nugambakkam to meet with the NRI's.

End of episode.

My comments - i hope she meets someone in the NRI group who is nice

Wasted episode - nothing much happened.

Hotel Meeting- Abhi and Vishwanathan sir walk towards the hotel meeting room to meet the NRI parties. They hand over the portfolio and the NRI people tell her that they dont' bother about portfolios but are more concerned with the persons they work with and their integrity. All seems to be going well, a car stops in front of the hotel and a suited booted fella with dark sunglasses steps out. its Adi and his chamcha Giri.

They walk in with great confidence into meetin groom and take a seat in front of Abhi at the meeting room table. Adi goes on and on about the greatness of his company and makes snide remarks about Abhi's company - inexperience, lack of money, lack of everything udner the son. The NRI parties seem a bit confused and they say they will make a decision only after consulting with the missing member of their consortium.

Adi walks away with great confidence and Abhi looks very worried. Vishwanathan sir tells her that to get more financial backing, she shoudl consdier making Sivadas a full partner in Abhi Constructions. She looks confused.

Temple Scene - Nalini is having a great time in the temple. They are having some kind of havan and pooja going on. After the poojai, there are tons of people having lunch and Nalini stands there passing comments such as eat well, lots of good stuff to eat, you people must have never eaten such good food and such other nasty remarks.

She tells one of the guests that she is doing this pooja and anna danam to get a good life for her daughter and son. She makes daughter serve appalams and bhaskar serve water much to their disgust. Her acting was superb, I am sorry, I cant' recollect all ehr dialouges, but they were very funny.

She sees that there are only 8 sumagalis aroudn while she wanted to give saree and blouse to 9 and orders one of the priests in thetemple to find a 9th sumagali. She says find someone 'mookum muzhuma'as everyone here looked like a fright.

Temple priest goes to hunt for a good looking sumangali, and who arrives at the temple.. you guessed it Abhi. She is praying to god and talking to the main priest when this othe rpriet comes and requests her to come for the sumangali prarthanai thing. She refuses saying she doesn't know who the people were, the head priest says that oen must not refuse such a request, as it is a good oppurtunity to bring good luck for the family doing the poooja so she accepts and goes with the priest.

When she comes to the sumangali prarthanai area, nalini sees her, she stops shocked. Abhi is also stunned. Bhaskar and his dad are stunned.

Camera focuses on Abhi's face and freezes.

Nov 7^th 2005-Monday

Nothing special-

Temple- Abhi is coming with the priest and everyone is stunned seeing her. Alamelu is angry with the priest. She asks why did he bring her, isn't anyone else available. But the pujari warns her. He says this lady came here to take the dhanam, now if you say no to her- it will be a big sin and u and u r family will suffer. So it is better to give her the dhanam cheerfully. Now abhi hesitates. But her Father in law interferes and says daughter don't think u r taking it from alamelu's hands, just consider it is from God. Plz take for my sake. Abhi agrees and takes it. Divya turns away. Bhaskar walks away. Abhi after taking the dhanam walks, she stops where bhaskar was standing and looks at bhaskar and then leaves. Bhaskar is ……

Abhi's house- abhi is back with the sari etc. she takes it out from the cover and examine it . Now karpakagam arrives and asks from where did she get the new sari, whether she bought it or not. She says No, I got it. Karpakagam asks from where, she says from the temple. Karpakagam asks who was it, was it someone familiar. Abhi says No, some one, let it be anyone. I got it from the temple that is all.

Karpakagam asks why she went to the temple- she says she is not happy- no peace of mind that is why. Anandhi is also standing there. Karpakagam asks her abt the bomb, whether there is any clue. Abhi says no. Karpakagam is worried. She says after all these problems u people managed to finish the job and now look what happened.

Abhi says this is not the thing that is worrying her, she says thuls left the office and also the house. That is why she is upset (Now, she starts crying).

Sivadas was helping her and she was taking it also, but thuls was against all that. Now he complained abt adhi and adhi is now angry . abhi says adhi never behaved normally towards her, so she is not worried. But thuls behavior hurt her.. If thuls behaves so, that means thuls don't know her. He was her friend for so many years. Yet he behaved so, so that means he don't understand her fully. Abhi says if thuls or usha says a word or behave indifferently that hurts her very much, when usha behaved indifferently it was unbearable for her. But when her husband bhaskar left her, that incident didn't caused any worry in her mind- because bhaskar never understood her.

All these times every one, was causing worry- but all those were strangers, but when some one close to the heart behaves so- she can't bear it. If a friend behaves so, that hurts u r heart. For all these long years they were friends and now thuls left her. she is crying.

Karpakagam tries to console her. She says that happens. She finally asks a question- whether this will cause any problem in the marriage, abhi says no, no such things won't happen- she know thuls- he will keep his word, she is sure. She will try to sort out the problems.

Anandhi leaves followed by karpakagam, abhi is there standing.

Arathi's house-

Sundari is climbing the steps- Poor girl, she is crying, she is sweating profusely. She has got a small bottle, filled with something. After much thought, she closes her eyes and with trembling hands, she is going to drink it. Now arathi strikes it out from her hands. Arathi scolds her and asks why, is this the only way- is it good to commit suicide- what is this sundari. Sundari cries and says that she is a bad girl, she committed sin, she is not worth to live, if arathy knew what she did, she will kill her. sudari says she committed sin, she and rajesh slept together, she allowed rajesh to do all that. Arathy says she knew it- she saw then together that morning- sundari is shocked and she is crying- arathi says this is not the solution- forget everything and start a new life, now her father fixed her marriage-so go and marry that man, and live happily.

But sundari refuses, she says she can't do it- she can't cheat him, she can't live with this burden- she prefers to die, her death is the only solution- then everyone will be happy- that is the only solution

Arathi tries to advice her, but no use- sundari says now u saved me, but I will definitely do this- how long will arathy be able to save her, probably today, then tomorrow, what next- the next day she will do it- she is not worth to live- it is better to die that to live such a life. She says she wanted to die from that very day.

Arathi is silent; the camera freezes on artahy's determined face.

Nov 8^th 2005-Tuesday

Rajesh's house-

Kala comes out of bath and looks for Sundari. She calls her again and again but no answer from sundari. Rajesh's mother also searches. Now rajesh's brother finds that rajesh is also missing. Now everyone realizes that arathy, sundari and rajesh is not there.

Temple-

Arathi is persuading rajesh to marry sundari. Arathy says that she knew that he shared bed with sundari, she says she saw them together and on that day she had came back with dreams and hopes in her mind. When the first night was arranged I thought u will tell me the truth- but u don't. If u told me then we could have started a new life. But even though I tried u never told me. U don't have any sense of guilt. Same thing happened when u married me, u lied to me then also.

At that time either I should have gone away or I should have lived with u- but neither did happen. You can't leave sundari. You can't ruin her life- for u it is not a big thing, but for sundari it is her life, that incident spoiled her whole life and u can't do that. So u must marry her, Rajesh protests weakly. But finally arthy convince him. Now they get ready and exchange garlands. Everyone cries while rajesh ties thali around sundari's neck.

Nov 9^th 2005, Wednesday

Rajesh's house-

Rajesh's mother, brother, kala, her parents all are tensed. They are worried abt the three. Kala asks her husband to go and find them, she says her FIL went in search of them, u too go and check. He is about to go out. Now an auto arrives and all the three are coming. Every one is shocked seeing rajesh and sundari in the wedding costumes.

Arathy's MIL shouts at her, she asks what is this? Aren't u ashamed? U r husband married another girl and u are accompanying them without any shame. She asks rajesh what is this, is this u r daily routine- to marry someone and bring her home without any notice.

MIL continues, her brother in law also is angry, both of them questions arathy. She says she is ashamed, but what can she do- and now she explains everything- what she saw on that day and also sundari's suicide attempt. She says she did so because she considers herself also guilty in the whole affair. Now her MIL says oh, this is u r trick, u want to leave this house, u always wanted to leave rajesh, now things are easy- u can tell everyone that u r husband married another girl, so now u can escape without any blame on u. u never respected anyone here, u too are like u r mother and sister, both of them left their husbands and now living alone- they are u examples. Arathi defends saying that that was not her idea. Why to bring them in between? I did all these for sundari's sake, she was going to die, she was not ready to betray another man, since rajesh is the sinner here he should suffer, not sundari, that is why she did so.

Now mother in law is angry she says there were elders here, but she never consulted them in this matter,she adds " men will do 1000 wrong things- they can do anything- but this is not the solution😡- then she asks her to leave the house- she shouts get out from here. Her brother in law also asks her to go out- he says u are the reason for all the problems here. after u arrived here there is no peace of mind here. kala also asks her husband to throw arathy out. Both mother and son shouts at her, arathy asks why should she leave, it is not her fault etc etc.

Finally arathy leaves the house- rajesh and sundari are crying. Arathy walks out of the house- wipes her tears( so that no one see it) and leaves.😭

Kala's parents are angry at rajesh's mother. They says they thought their daughter will be safe there; if they complain abt rajesh to the police he will be in jail. Rajesh's mother says we are extremely sorry for all these. Now kala interferes and she says she wants to talk to them. She takes them in and asks them to keep quiet. She says there is nothing to worry abt and there is no reason to argue. She adds her mission is now fulfilled, she always wanted rajesh to marry sundari. Her plan was to drive arathy away from this house. Now everything is fine. Their marriage is over and now arathy is also out of the house. Now she is very happy. She says now herself and sundari will only be here- Everything ended well without any effort from her part- so now no one can blame her. Her parents are convinced, they are happy, they too leaves.

Abhi in auto-

She arrives at thuls old house- she goes in and rings the calling bell. Shanthi comes out. Abhi is having an angry face. She asks is thuls there, shanthi says yes, he is in, but…… Abhi walks in and calls THULS THULS, come out.

Thuls arrives. Abhi says that she wants to talk to him personally. Shanthi leaves. Now abhi starts. 😭She says I am sorry thuls for all these. U were correct, what u did with respect to the bomb issue was perfectly correct, but my point is that u should have considered abt usha's life. That was my point. Thuls u are my best friend. Why did u do so.

Now thuls says abhi, don't say sorry- but abhi I did what I felt right in that situation, there was no time to think abt usha, just suppose the bomb blasted-then what will we do- our building will be in ruins and then will u still think abt usha's life-is it possible-👏

Abhi says ok, let us forget everything- thuls come back to the office. Now thuls says Abhi I want to say something. Abhi the project was u r dream, I supported u. I was with u till u finished it- I was with u in u r problems, now u achieved u r goal. Now there are lot of people around u to help u, our boss is there -abhi u are going up in life, u are climbing the steps of success. But abt me, I still consider myself as the old draftsman working in the old office, but u are not like so- u have grown from u r old status. I must go away from u r life. If I am there in u r life I will always be a hindrance in u r success with my old ideas. I know sivadas very well, I introduced him to u- I know there is valid reason behind all his deeds, he is not at all trustworthy.

Abhi says what is this thuls- only once I supported sivadas, but for all other things other than this I supported u, I always said No to sivadas's ideas, when u disagreed with that. Only this time I supported him. thuls and usha motivated me to start this business- u people asked me to name it as abhi constructions, all of us came out of adhi's company together and started this project- this was our joint venture and u are a partner in this.

thuls says abhi u should forget everything that happened, u should forget all these and then u should go up in u r life- u should forget me also, then only u will benefit- then only u will go up- u should forget the past- then only u can achieve in life. abhi cries and says OK I will forget everything. But I can't forget only these- but I will forget abt the work also- I will stop all these and will go back to my old job- I will go and work somewhere. That is better. That is my plan. Abhi says she was proud abt their friendship- she was proud abt their relation ,she was proud abt the man-woman friendship. 😭

Saying all these abhi leaves.( some more great dialogues were also there from abhi- but sorry I forgot)

Thursday, Nov 10^th 2005-

Abhi's house:- Karpakagam is sitting in front of the house with her hands on her head, Manoo and Rajendran is standing with a sad expression.

Arathi slowly opens the gate and walks in. Rajendran spots her and calls karpakagam,Akka… Now karpakagam also spots her and she walks towards arathy with an angry face and starts shouting.

She asks what is this arathy? What have u done? U r in laws telephoned us and said that u conducted a second marriage for u r husband. How dare u do this? Is this I taught u- is this the reply from u- I advised u while u r FIL was in the hospital, and what have u done. Will any wife do such a thing? Will anyone allow a second lady in her life? U r MIL always told me that u never wanted a family life- then I thought it is her misunderstanding. But now I am sure- u don't want to lead a family life.

I gave birth to 3 girls- first one abhi- her life is in problems, then second one, her life is also not happy, and I always thought that u got a happy married life and now u spoiled that also. While u r father left us, I wanted to raise u all myself. I wanted to show the world that the children raised by karpakagam as an example to all others. I always wanted others to say-look karpakagam raised those children so well even though her husband left her. But now, all will laugh at her. They will tell, karpakagam raised them up very badly, after her husband left her.

Arathy while u r FIL was in the hospital I told u not to come back to this house again, or else I will die. So arathy u came back again- that means u don't care for me- u want me to die, isn't .OK, then I will die.

Arathy in between tried to speak, rajendran and manoo tried to console karpakagam, but she was not controllable. Arathy is crying and pleading please listen to me mom, but no use.

Finally karpakagam says I don't have any daughter named arathy- from now onwards I have three children- 2 girls and 1 boy and my 4^th child is dead. Now karpakgam runs into the courtyard and takes a pot full of water and pour it over her head and cries loudly- manoo ,My daughter arathy is dead, my daughter arathy is dead….

What sort of mother this lady is, it is better not to have such a mother, a mother should listen to her daughter first, she should hear her explanation also and then react.

Arathy is shocked and she can't control her tears& arathy runs away from there.

Abhi constructions:- Abhi, Sivadas and his team, Viswanathan, Krishan sir are there.

Sivadas is there to discuss abt the partnership. Sivadas says madam, I want to join u r company. It is not because I want money, I have got enough and more money and I know several ways to make more. But I wanted to join u r company just because of the respect towards u.

Abhi is silent. Sivadas continues, why are u silent, I don't like to beg for this, this is a type of insult.

Viswanathan sir says that is not the case sivadas and he turns to abhi and says abhi, if sivadas is with u- it will be a great help for u- a person like sivadas is very useful. I faced problems in my business because I don't have any support from any one like sivadas, so it is better to accept this offer.

Abhi is again silent. Sivadas again asks why are u not answering- so I am leaving- u don't like me, isn't it.

Now abhi says it is not the case, I can't take a decision alone. Thuls and usha also are partners. So I must consult them. But because of the special condition usha is not available now and I also don't want to disturb her. But I should ask Thuls. This project was our dream- we three tried to fulfill over dream. So I must ask them also. this is our joint venture.

Sivadas asks why u don't consider me as a friend, abhi says yes sir, I do- But I should ask thuls also- I will talk to him first and then will inform u. Without his permission I can't do anything.

Abhi leaves the office.

Outside the office-

Manoo is there in an auto an he informs her abt arathy and abhi is shocked to hear all these. Manoo adds that arathy left the house because mom was angry and abhi enquires where she is . manoo says her friend kokila telephoned and told arthy is with her. abhi says ok, I will go and talk to her. manoo asks her to go by the auto and abhi leaves.

Kokila's house:

Kokila's mother is standing out, abhi arrives and asks abt kokila. Kokila arrives and says arathy is there. Abhi walks in. Arathy is sitting there. Abhi's face is full of anger. She shouts, arathy…

Arathy quickly stands up and abhi starts yelling- arathy what is this? Is this I told u, I advised u so much and even then u behaved so, what is this arathy? Will any one do such a thing? Are u mad, only a mad person will do such a foolish deed.

Arathy is trying to speak. Now she starts talking. Akka, rajesh lied to me at the time of our marriage. Then I should have left him or should have lived like his wife. But no- as per u r advice I then start studying. At that time everyone there except kala supported me. I concentrated on my studies and kala gave another interpretation for it, she always said I am utilizing them for my studies. Slowly my Mother in law and rajesh too started believing her.

Abhi shouts in between arathy all these are old things, I am talking abt the present situation. arathy says akka, let me tell, I haven't finished yet, plz hear this completely. Abhi says OK tell.

Arathy continues -then I continued my studies and I was a topper and I even got scholarships for my future studies and at that point I took certain decisions. I decided to live like a good wife, good daughter in law etc and wanted to start a new life. With all those dreams and ambitions I came back from the test and then on that day I saw rajesh and sundari as husband and wife. I saw them in such a situation- I saw them together in such a situation, which no wife ought not to see her husband.

Abhi is shocked.

Highlights

- Arti explains to abhi why she did what she did

- She explains that she was in a way responsible for Sundari coming close to rajesh, as she failed to be a wife.

- She said what HURT her the most was the fact that RAJESH after sleeping with sundari, pretended & acted as if nothing happened or was lost

- She said that sundari is a nice girl she even apologised to me, but she touched my heart when she said that she refuses to live as someone elses wife, & if that had to happen she would rather commit suicide, and arti was convinced that, sundari would have definitely commited sucide, if they would have got her married to another person

- So that is why she decided to get Sundari & rajesh married.


- Abhi tells arti that if it was her neighbors sister or daughter who did this she would have commended them, though she is very proud of Arti, she is also very sad
Abhi asks arti so what are you going to do now

- ARTI SAYS SHE WILL MOVE BACK TO RAJESH'S HOUSE & LIVE AS THEIR MARUMAGAL, AS THEY SAHICHIFIED HER A LOT AND NOW IT IS HER TURN TO PUT UP WITH THEM 😡 😡 😡 <this logic totally is beyond my thinking 😡 🤢 >

- meantime SIVADAS is contemplating with paunu, how to trap abhi & make her get interested in him, he decides his daughter is the source that will get him close to abhi, as abhi likes his daughter

<ABHI PUTS ALL OF RAJESH'S PEOPLE IN THEIR PLACE>

- Abhi takes arti to Rajesh's house, & rajesh & co assemble in the middle of their palace, & rajesh's mom as usual yells at ARTI AND SAYS WHY HAVE YOU COME HERE.<SOME NERVE SHE HAS AFTER HAVING GIVEN BIRTH TO A SON LIKE RAJESH 😡 >

- Artis mamiar says, "AMBALAINGA ENRAL APPADI IPPADI THAN IRUPANGA", since they have feelings. ABHI SAYS THE SAME FEELINGS EVEN PONBALAINGALUKU IRRUKU, BUT MY SISTER WAS SO RESPONSIBLE. She says your son ws the one who lied to be a rich man & married my sister , because of which my sister got cheated, anandhis wedding got cancelled, my mom got very sick & you guys are talking

- Abhi speaks up, she says why should my sister not live, here, she says instead of appreciating her you folks are chastising her, if arti would not have married these 2 , then sundari would have commited sucide & ur son would have been behind bars.

- Abhi also asks rajesh to come in the front, & she speaks to his mom & says, UR son is the number FRAUD, & CHEAT. That crazy mamiar keeps quiet.

- LAKALAKA begins to speak , ABHI SHUTS HER UP 😃 abhis says eye NEE PESATHA, abhi says all this happened only because of you. After arti was married to rajesh you brought your sister to this house & entertained all useless feelings & thoughts and asked her to persue rajesh, so u r the one to be blamed.

- Abhi says arti is rajesh's first wife so she will stay here. LAKALA says no my sis is now married & she is theo ne who should be here & not your sister, ask her to take out the thali give it and go

- Abhi says who are you to say that, if you could bring your sister to live here after rajesh's got married, my sister has every right to live here. She says let arti's mamiar or mamanar or Rajesh ask her to take of the thali & she will

- Finally abhil gets very wild & she says, ARTI THALIYA AVUTHU KODU. Every one is shell shcoked. ARTI IS SHAKEN, SHE SAYS AKKA, Abhi says i was the one who told you not to take out the THALI WHEN RAJESH MARRIED YOU IN DECIET, NOW IM THE ONE WHO IS TELLING YOU TO TAKE THE THALI OUT, SO REMOVE IT AND GIVE IT TO THEM

SORRY FOLKS AFTER THIS I COULD NOTWATCH THE LAST FEW SECONDS,

- Anandhi meets Arti in the bustop & tells her off for still staying with Rajesh

- Arti says Anandhi will not be able to understand her state of mind.

- Anandhi says only out of interest in you Im speaking like this take care

- Arti takes off in a bus

- Rajesh comes there in his AuTO, ANANDHI IS STARRING AT RAJESH & VICE VERSA

Highlights

ANANDHI & RAJESH

- Anandhi stops an auto & that auto is Rajesh's. She thinks for a little while and says she wants to go to madhuravoil. Rajesh nods his head & starts the auto, half way through anandhi stops the auto she gets down & asks Rajesh to get out of the auto. She is very angry & THITUFIES Rajesh heavily.
