I think when anyone looksat he slapped/she slapped and trivialize that, they are missing the point.

Though, I haven’t watched the movie, the relationship between Preeti and Kabir is very problematic, and not functional. When she needed him the most, to convince her parents, get her away from her marriage, he was drugged up For 2 days! Then gets arrested, kicked out by his family,ie , hasn’t learnt his ways, had many one night stands, whilst she was waiting, pregnant and committed to that relationship.

I wonder the judgement of a girl who won’t see his problematic behaviour but his own parents can, and kick him out.

The movie ultimately shows a graph of a selfish man, who gets away with everything ( don’t come @ me with the lame 5 year ban) who may want to protect Meek, quiet, shy Preeti from the world, but he can’t ultimately protect her from himself, cuz he has missed the big hole of what’s wrong him..,

That’s the point. He tried his best to convince her dad but couldn’t and that’s when he loses control. He’s destructive. So it’s not about defending him but seeing the character for what it is.

As far he knows she’s married so he’s free to do what he wants even though he doesn’t but it wasn’t for lack of trying so director saying both didn’t sleep with others is wrong.

Better argument would have been is that he’s trying to fill that void but even that wasn’t communicated properly that’s why I say it’s a shitty movie which fails on many levels.

He’s drugged because he can’t handle the situation. Don’t expect any kind of maturity from this loser.

He’s willing to accept her even though he thinks it’s someone else’s child. That’s when she forgives him.

he got away with what exactly? He suffered much more than she did. You didn’t see his self destructing ways?

See it’s a shitty movie. Nothing was communicated the way you are looking at it. People will talk about what was communicated not what could have been done. People will also talk about the issues that affect them the most on a daily basis. Every movie can have a myriad of problems but the one that will be discussed most is the one that is most prevalent.

Me and my brother same. My much older cousins used to egg us on and we used to do like proper wrestling not fake WWE kinds. I used to get so mad angry..once I picked up a knife even.. 😔but luckily I had some inner voice tell me that time this will have bad consequences before my parents or anyone has noticed me new proclivities.

Even now one of my second younger cousin who's like 12 will randomly choke slam me. Somehow he realizes that I wont mind. He reminds me so much of my brother who's distant to me now as he grew older. 😒
