Finally watched Kabir Singh...

I had watched Arjun Reddy already and knew this movie was carbon copy of that movie and saw the criticism of the movie as well (rightfully). So here’s my review. The only good thing about the movie was Shahid Kapoor's acting and nothing else. Movie was far too long and irrelevant especially in the second with all that self destructive phase which was unnecessarily dragged. Kiaras acting was pathetic and I am pretty sure even if there was a furniture in her place in the movie, it wouldn’t have made any difference. There should be a disclaimer before such movies that you should not be like Preethi in real life otherwise you are doomed. That slap scene was completely useless and not having it wouldn’t have made any difference probably wouldn’t have faced so much criticism. Another thing I don’t understand is caste system is highlighted in this movie as well even though it’s not relevant in upper middle class now. Funny thing is that Preeti dad knew Kabirs father in the beginning but acted as if he didn’t know him when he came to his house. The actress story was another useless element in the movie which should have been went away with and the most shocking scene was opening scene where Kabir asks a girl forcefully to remove her clothes. Kiara is really overrated in this forum. I didn’t see anything special in her here. Her expressions throughout the movie was same and had a minimal screen time in second half.
