The Kangana - Media War Growing?

After (actually while) claiming she didn’t care about the ban and wanted them to ban her, Kangana had her lawyer send a threatening letter suggesting Kangana would file criminal defamation cases and sue for “huge compensatory (monetary) damages” if they didn’t end the ban within 24 hours (its now been more than 24hours since and it hasn’t). Now another organization has supported the ban. And some people you’d expect to be on Kangana’s side, like Rajeev Masand, haven’t come to her aid - at least publicly. Interesting to see who will blink first .

The Uttar Pradesh Working Journalist Union (UPWJU), an affiliate of Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ), has slammed Kangna Ranaut for threatening a Mumbai based senior entertainment journalist during a press conference recently.

The state president of UPWJU, Bhaskar Dubey, and IFWJ national secretary Siddharth Kalhans, in a statement issued in Lucknow on Saturday condemned Kangna Ranaut for insulting journalists and threatening them. Supporting the ban imposed on the coverage of Kangna, they said that instead of offering an apology the actor has served legal notice to the media persons.

Kangna and her sister-cum-manager Rangoli Chandel have been mocking and insulting the media with their tweets and videos. Requesting organisations of film producers and artists to intervene in the matter, the IFWJ demanded that such people should be banned in the entertainment industry.

The UPWJU has around 2,300 members across 52 districts in the state while the IFWJ is a 18,000 member body.

there's no war really.. media personalities are taking advantage of the situation too.. and HR is as usual suffering as the buzz of Super 30 is very low and people are discussing this stupid war more..

That’s not been my experience. Super 30 opened better than expected (by realistic people) and is being loved by almost everyone on social media and in my real life 😆. I am invested in following the Kanga nonsense because of past experiences and my online friends are for same reasons but no one in my “real life” is. She will not come out of this in a better place than she was when she went in. I’m not sure how much it will hurt her, but it will hurt her. The journalists aren’t going to forget.

The buzz around me is low compared to Gully boy or Kabir Singh.. but numbers are telling a different story though... Good for him and the team..

Media ban is negative publicity for her own film. Poor Rajkummar is stuck with this mess. Hope it's a solid strong film for his sake.

I'm not sure it will harm her. IMO she is looking like the bigger person already because it's like one vs a thousand. Is the media ban hurting her? So far, I mean on the forum at least we are inundated with more threads on Kangana than before. I don't see the effect. The journos used to copy paste the same articles on Kangana so many times, it's better now to be honest. It's more like a parasite cleanse for Kangana. The media were more annoying than Kangoli. It's best that they have disassociated from her, hopefully for good.

I said the other day even. With all these stunts in the last week or 2. I don’t think we’re far from the day Kangana goes nude live on YouTube. An if that happens I’d have to burn my eyes. 🤣
