1983 is a folklore in Indian cricket culture, cricket crazy people everyone knows about it. Yes casual fans may not know much about it, but if a well made movie will give a great drama biopic. So obviously it will be a huge blockbuster. Unless movie crap nikli. Dhoni utni baadi hit nahi huyi because, it was too lengthy with a relatively no star power actor, while Ranveer is coming off three hit(two BB) movies, which were hit with young audience.

Tum ko kiyu lagta hai sab log, pehle ziyada prediction karenge, phir film utna nahi kama payi toh troll karenge, sorry hum woh category k nahi hai.
