Yes he did apparently.

Ranaut has been making headlines as her movie's promotions are going on. One of the recent promotional events became the talking point of the entire nation when the National Award-winning actress reprimanded a journalist amidst an audience.

Point out Ranaut's bluntness to Rao, and he reveals that he is instead in awe of her. "That's her point of view. We live in a free country and we believe everybody can have their point of view," he says, and goes on to add, "All I can say is more power to her". "There are a lot of people who like her for her honesty," Rao claims.

While many may have a problem with Kangana calling a spade-a-spade attitude, Rao appreciates it. "She is definitely a fearless girl. She inspires a lot of girls through her work." He also admits, "And sometimes even I feel like, ‘how can she be so fearless and open about everything.’"

The article intentionally misleads the gullible reader. It implies he was asked about the incident with the reporter when he wasn’t and his answer is about the incident with the reporter when it wasn’t.

OK, so the question is not specifically stated but what else would they be referring to when a day or so after that incident, RKR is promoting his film alone without his co-star and being asked about Kangana. I'll have to watch the video I guess but the person tweeting about it is Justin Rao's gf and the article itself is coming from the same media who are not speaking with Kangana.

and see the quotes Nova. He is defending her rights to freedom of speech ironically, which the media has quashed currently. That can apply to any Kangana-related situation really.

The video is titled "Rajkummar Rao gives his opinions on Kangana Ranaut reprimanding people | Judgementall Hai Kya" from the entertainment site Bollywood Life.

Why don’t you do that and while you do listen to the inflection in his voice and which word he emphasizes in the first sentence...”That’s her point of view.” And if he is supporting freedom of speech he’s unlikely to mind Justin Rao using his. After all it was Justin who was silenced at the PC not Kangana. No one is preventing Kangana from speaking freely. Kangoli are still free to tweet and say anything they want.

Adds the source, " Rajkummar was never asked any question related to the press conference at the song launch of Judgemental Hai Kya. He answered an entirely different question, which was attributed as a response to another. He (Rajkummar) has always respected the media fraternity and has never had any issue with anyone whatsoever. In fact during the incident, Raj even went up on the stage and tried to calm the situation down since he has always shared a warm equation with the media. He is a thorough professional and very sensible and prefers his work to do all the talking. So, there is no question of him giving an answer to a question which was never asked. It's shocking that this has been misconstrued."

He praised her and her guts. What more does she want? Now everyone cant be as upfront as kangan to take on media and Bollywood mafia. Rajkumar was being careful of what he was saying because he doesn't want to be dragged into this stupid controversy and get banned. He is still establishing himself so cant afford pangas with these people. But he said a lot of good things about her. So in a way, yes he did support her, indirectly hi sahi😆

Not really the point. Kangana and/or her PR lied, again. They pretended he supported her going to war against Justin Rao. They lied. On purpose. Again. And were caught. Again. And Kangana and her fans will refuse to acknowledge the lie and just change the subject. Again.

Carry on.
