Nayanthara to portray the role of Sita in the upcoming big budget movie on Ramayana

According to latest reports, the makers of the big - budget movie based on Ramayana are keen on roping in Nayanthara to portray the role of Sita. The Bigil actress is also interested in playing the role in the upcoming movie.

The multi - lingual movie based on Ramayana was announced by directors Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar a few days back. The yet to be titled movie is going to be bankrolled by filmmakers Madhu Mantena, Namit Malhotra and Allu Aravind. Now another interesting news about the upcoming movie has come up. According to some sources, the makers of the movie are keen to rope in actress Nayanthara to portray the role of Sita.

Nayanthara is also keen on portraying the important role in the movie since it may turn out to be one of the biggest movies in the history of Indian cinema. For the unversed, Nayanthara has already played the role of Sita in the Telugu movie Sri Rama Rajyam which was directed by the legendary director Bapu. Now, as the actress has already portrayed the role once, it will definitely work in her favour for the future movie.

According to latest reports, the makers are going to cast some well - known stars from Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood and Punjabi movie industry alike in the movie. Now, there are speculations that the makers may opt for simultaneous shooting instead of dubbing it in multiple languages. However, they have not made any official confirmation about the same yet.

On the professional front, Nayanthara will be next seen in the upcoming Telugu movie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy starring superstar Chiranjeevi. She will also be seen in the Tamil movie Bigil in which she has been paired up opposite actor Vijay.
