There was speculation that they were waiting till after the Election to announce them. Already in July so are they just skipping a year?

I know they were lobbying hard for Alia to win for Raazi as it might resurrect the damage done from Kalank lol...but for some reason the deal is not cracking. Perhaps Karan hasnt paid them enough?

Why would Karan have to pay anyone to give Alia Bhatt an award, when the audience and critics pretty much agree that she had the best performance of 2018, alongside Tabu for Andhadhun.
