Not read or watched Shades of Grey. Not watched Kabir and nor will.

But as some have pointed out, the consent is an important point here. One is prepared and agrees to a list of things whereas the other is subjected to violence and abuse suddenly.

By watching such things you are indirectly promoting such things and sooner or later some toxic misogynistic men would treat their women violently and then the blame game will start.

Nobody is saying Fifty shades is an epic but it is nowhere as misogynistic as Kabir Singh. Grey does make it clear to Ana that what he is into time & again whereas Kabir Singh, from what I read, literally decides by himself that the timid girl in salwar suit is HIS emotionally & physically w/o once asking if she's interested. Ana does leave when it's too much for her to bear even though she is head over heels in love with Grey. Never once she pleads & pledges to the man that she's nothing w/o him.

BDSM is a practiced culture & there are men out there who enjoy being sub too. One can argue if the depiction was close to reality but that's another argument altogether.

I read FSOG, Christian made Anastasia sign an agreement, she could not tell anyone about his ludicrous deal. She refused to agree and I remember he said something like she can refuse him but there are accidents and kidnapping everyday, to imply that he will kill her or kidnap her. Where was consent? He manipulated a young woman because she looked like his mother 😑🤮🤢

I don't really know about this cult. I have strong opinion about FSG even before KS released.

I may be trying to point out Hollywood is as trashy as Indian cinema. For a fact which it is. You on other hand has always been ready to defend FSG, which is fine. ( I remember i was the first one to say FSG is trashy in some post and you posted how FSG is better and is practised by people)

Why Fifty shades of grey is repulsive to me : I can't even watch the trailer of FSG. It is just demeaning to a human being to be at mercy of someone. There were some cases , where people die during intercourse because of all the aggressive stuff. We are human beings who thrive on love , i fail to understand how people could choke and hit their partners for the sake of their weird fantasies. When the person in your mercy can die at your own hands.

women remain divided confused unclear

they dont support their own sports

they are crazy for male stars while men dont go to movies for female stars

now there are some who like such "dominance"

i mean be clear...

my observation is that they are confused ... maybe this is not planned but then tend to show this pattern
