What was the point of the Rajvadhi Odhni song in Kalank?

I just saw the song again on YouTube and I thought it was ridiculous and unnecessary. Alia danced so aggressively as if wo kapde dho rahi hai then there was that ridiculous Krrish jump she did during the song. The song had no impact whatsoever, came out of the blue, went into the blue and seemed forced.

I really didn't understand the reason behind portraying Alia as a village girl from Rajasthan who btw doesnt even talk like a Rajasthani villager lol 😂😂😂 Her Rajasthani background and culture wasn't explored even slightly 😂😂 Aisa lag raha hai bas ek song k liye usse Rajasthani bana diya tha.. 😂😂 This is one of the worst intro songs.... seemed like a poor copy of Manmohini

They were desperately trying to project Alia as the likes of Aish, Sridevi who would floor the audience with their beauty.

Lol uske liye beauty honi bhi toh chahiye 😆 Alia is average looking. I think the purpose of the song was to show her like Nandini from HDDCS... Kalank was just an SLB hangover..

Aloo fits in childish/cutesy image most and just doesn't fit the ethereal beauty or sexy image .No matter how much Kjo try they can't force audience to think otherwise.

We were watching the movie and my husband said “ She is trying to look like Deepika but the video looks like I’ve seen it before.” 😂 He meant Ash’s hddcs entry.

The song was pointless and stupid. In fact the movie (whatever I could bear )was pointless and stupid.

Exactly. Alia certainly isn't made for period films and neither is Varun. Both were serious miscasts. 🤪

I saw a movie yesterday on amazon prime and it was much worse than what I expected. That song was useless and unnecessary with Alia big mouth opening laugh. I don't know why was she laughing so hard. It looked ridiculous.
