Well, not that I care about Zaira but how is bollywood some great progressive place? It's literally built on the exploitation of women and then tossing them aside and replacing them with a younger model....

Here in this post I found Raveena the most attention seeker. Her tip tip barsa pani is remaking now, she is trying to gain some silly attention maybe.

Zaira is an independent soul. She can decide things for her. Her career her choice. She is not hurting anyone.. Nobody should call her regressive. And we don't know where a person finds peace. It can be in religion, it can be in music, it can be in traveling. So rather making stinky comments on religion we should focus on our own peace.

Tasleema should Understand Not every women wants to stand in a bikini. Yes Still women exists who finds Saree/Salwar or even Burqa very comfortable and like we preach of Women Choice to wear when she wears non visible stuffs we, the same Ppl shouldn't mock others for covering themself. Not Everyone is FORCED to cover themself. And Madam Raveena stop targetting a 2 film old actress whose quitting most probably won't even effect BW. BW is all about Being a Star kid or Opening your legs for Breaks, I don't see any Progressive in this. Having said that Zaira has lost respect for me atleast for posting such a long essay on Allah and Religion. No one needs to know what is your relation with your Faith, keep it to yourself atleast now a days where you know Ppl will make it mountain of a mole hill if religion thing is brought. And If it's a publicity gaining trick then Shame On Her. Anyway, her life her choice may she finds happiness n peace

So many views to oppose. Lot of flip flopping to do.

1) Zaira: Nobody would have said anything, if she chose to be away from Bollywood. What was the need to write an essay on Islam/Allah ?

She indirectly implies, a good Muslim cannot be an artist. That is being judgemental about other Muslim artists. Muslim artists from India/Pakistan/Bangladesh, are they not good Muslims?

Mere Sapnoki Rani from movie Aradhana made Kishore Kumar a star singer. How was he landed this chance? Mohammad Rafi was on Hajj. Same person sang many popular Hindu Bhajans. Was he a lesser Muslim than Zaira?

2) Raveena; Why use such harsh words on a confused 18 year old? Not all the movies that you acted were progressive in nature. Some were quite misogynist . Doesn’t that mean, you also made regressive choices when you were young?

3) People who are criticising Raveena with her dance to shit shame her.

I said the same yesterday about people who mock at Swara when she airs her political views. Always it is women who are shit shamed for the characters they portray. Never men.

If you don’t agree with her, argue about her opinion. No need to mock her for doing that song. It was the most popular song of that year. She has nothing to be ashamed of her performance (just like Akshay).

4) People who are appreciating Twinkle;

She has called out on women who does Karwachaut as regressive. So people who mock at Hindu practices are progressive and those mock at Islamic practices are bigots?

What should an ungrateful and immature person be called? Slapped on back for blaming an entire industry if she is not strong enough to be close to her God despite the blessings he bestowed on her! Its easier to supposedly be closer to God in comfortable, close circumstances. But difficult while fulfilling your professional, personal goals and living in the world. Who knows maybe Raveena through her off the screen deeds may have done more for God and his children than Zaira. Besides, a tip tip barsa paani is an iconic song and Raveena did it with grace. Even if Zaira tried, she couldn't have done that!

Anyhow, don't care if Zaira quit or remained. If she wanted to quit, she could have quit gracefully without blaming the industry. People are offended not at her exit but for her blaming the industry. She has the right to choose whatever she wants, but not put the responsibility on others.
