Reason for Preethi being bland in KS

Is it because a stronger girl or with more personality would not fall for such a character like Kabir singh ? So the director trying to be realistic made the character bland or empty.

Also think the director kept it empty to target the section of audience who like to think there is a KS inside everybody. The men/women could relate more to the movie when they can substitute their interest/themselves in Preethi role. Frankly the role, seems to be a placeholder for a woman more than anything.

She wasn't exactly empty. She loved the attention Kabir gave her and treated him like he belongs to her, extremely clingy/possessive.
