Kristen is an indie darling now. Don't get fooled by her Twilight series.

Nothing is done and dusted anymore. We live in an era of remakes and reboots. Some succeed, some don't. I think Charlie's Angels is that kind of narrative that is evergreen. Every generation can have a Charlie's Angels. It just has to be made well to succeed.

Kristen Stewart isn't really as bad as people think. Twilight was just a shitty series pandering to a rabid fandom. Prior to Twilight she was critically acclaimed in Panic Room and Speak. Post-Twilight she has become an indie darling. She has done American Ultra which was entertaining, so she can pull of Charlie's Angels.

To be honest, there is nothing feminist or girl power about remaking this series. There is no gender reversal - other than Bosley. The original series was made for the male gaze with Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith becoming sex symbols of their era. The movie series was the same.

The only difference is that this time it is being made for the female gaze. Kristen Stewart is HUGE in the LGBTQ community, especially with queer women. Elizabeth Banks is making this for the exact same reasons she made the Pitch Perfect series - pandering to a very niche following. It doesn't matter if it tanks at the box office. It will become a legend like DEBS.

My only disappointment is that it doesn't have Chloe Grace Moretz. I mean Hit-Girl was born to be an angel.

The Trailer is shitty as expected..chances are high that it shall bomb at the Box Office : and can ppl stop about raving Kristen Stewart in indie movies as this one is a high budgeted film secondly, she's not popular more than jenifer lawrence whose career has hit a rough patch and she just delievered a box office bomb in dark phoenix, so anything can happen in movie business.

two things i like - Patrick Stewart even though its hard to imagine him in any character after prof charles x xavier..
