| Mrs. Shergill |
|Part 1.1|
"Where is Di, Shikhar?" Divya paced restlessly in her room, repeating her question for the time that herself lost count of and Shikhar held his hands up, shaking his head like he did for all the past times. Before any of them could say anything further, a loud scream of Mahima Shergill for Shikhar, had him rush to the hall to see what the matter was.
"Shikhar, Shikhar... Rakshit kaha hai? Kal raat se ghar nahi aaya hai. Mujhe laga, shayad koi late night meeting hogi but dekho na, ab tak nahi aaya." Mahima Shergill anxiously dashed towards Shikhar on spotting him approaching her.
"Ho sakta hai, apni nayi biwi se itna frustrate ho gaya ke kahi bhag gaya ho. Mai use nahi jhel paya. Pata nahi bhai ka kya hi haal karti hogi," Shikhar muttered, rolling his eyes, recalling the crazy ye raat aur ye doori dance.
"What?"
"Nothing, Badi Maa." He was glad that his Badi Maa didn't hear the comment he just made for his Badi Maa was way too fond of Lavanya to entertain even a single word without her.
"She is not at home since last night." Divya sighed but made sure that her expression did not give away her concern.
"What?" The news certainly didn't please Mahima Shergill.
"Oh matlab Rakshit Bhaiyaa and Drishti Bhabhi have gone on a trip together? Ye to galat hai. Mujhe bhi jana hai. Mujhe bhi jana hai. Badi Maa." Simran ran up to her Badi Maa who seemed absolutely annoyed with what she said.
"What the hell are you saying?"
"Lavanya." Divya stepped in almost immediately after Lavanya who had just come down stairs, yelled at Simran after her words fell in her ears, infuriating her to a different extent altogether. "Behave, okay?"
"Didn't you hear what she said?' Lavanya advanced her steps towards Simran who instantly hid behind Divya.
" Yes, so? She isn't well. Don't you know that?" Divya securely held Simran who firmly gripped her arm, occasionally peaking at Lavanya over Divya's shoulder.
"Stop it." Mahima Shergill silenced everyone. Her son hadn't come home since so long and everyone was busy in silly arguments. Could he really be with Drishti? No, why would he be? He was married to Lavanya and he married her on his own. She saw absolutely no reason for him to leave his wife and be with his ex. She hated to admit that the minor possibility of him being with her was bothering her on a crazy level.
