It was only time that things fell right for Shahid he has always been a good performer much better that the likes of ranveer varuns arjuns netc but the success went missing after a pt bec of the kind of films he did or got or just plain bad luck I am glad its finally clicked for him he totally deserves to not go out of work.
Barring one person in BW i think the opening of films still depends on the mass appeal of the film which depends on the kind of trailer you cut and the songs you have .... this one got it all right for Shahid.
Things turn for Shahid every few years.. We witnessed the same trend with Kaminey.. Then silence... Then Haider... Silence again and now Kabir Singh.. He is lucky to not be affected by flops.. I would agree with whoever compared him to Akki
That being said, Kabir Singh beats Gully boy and Simmba!! Wohoooo! Party time! Party time! Cuz you know one has gotta do the mauka pe chauka🥳
I’m really happy for Shahid he deserves his success he is very talented and underrated as an actor. I already knew this one will be biggest hit because everything worked for this movie, the trailer was intriguing the leads have fabulous chemistry, the music is awesome( my favourite this year) and Shahid has delivered a class act that was pretty visible in the trailer itself. Also the pulse of the audience has changed now they actually prefer good content now. This one had huge buzz even before the release so the numbers have to be expected. But solely crediting Shahid for it is overdoing it (the true litmus test to his opening is yet to seen if he sustains the numbers in his next then we can surely credit him only) and bringing is Padmavat into is also really ridiculous because anyone could tell he was a miscast in that role. The persona, the build and the body language required to play a king was just not there, I’m not blaming Shahid he did his best with what he had but when a character is simply not made for you, you just cannot make it work. Happened with the best of the actors. But this role Shahid fits into it perfectly I’m so glad Arjun didn’t do it now he would’ve been a miscast here. This required a Shahid Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor delivered and how!
Also it’s very immature to discredit Ranveer for his success, he has earned his success as well he is also an extremely talented actor who deserves to be here. Why can’t people appreciate them both instead of pitting them against each other? It’s great that an industry has movies like Gully boy and Kabir Singh and actors like Shahid, Ranveer, Ayushmaan, Vicky and Rajkummar who are extremely talented as well as delivering good content and bringing a positive change in the industry let’s just appreciate them.
Why is Padmaavat being talked about so much...maha bakwaas movie thi
Hater topic every movie when open bigger then ranveer sanju bigger then padmavati now this lol still can't beat ranveer success rate
Why is there a comparison? Anyway, congratulations to Shahid on this success!🥳
