We will pick them according to our mood).

At the end of the day, Filmmaking is a business and producers, are businessmen/women. Therefore, they go for the most profitable venture.

If audiences complain about an overdose of mindless, commercial potboilers, they must make sure that brand of Cinema doesn't mint money at the box office. Period.

Last time I checked there is no dispute between content and mainstream and there are plenty of them IMO....just need to be a bit selective I guess

CONTENT. I love movies where I actually get to learn something new or something that makes me think. I specially love movies based on true stories. Tuning of some facts accordingly is okay. I think my perfect mixture is achieved by one Chris Nolan. The way he makes content driven cinema more mainstream is something fascinating.

I do not know much but I prefer movies that has bit of feel of Literature in it. I have never been able to enjoy a movie that has nothing to take home, analyse or reconstruct from other povs. I love movies that are like empty canvas n on which I can draw my own impression. I also love it most when movies are open world types. that is the ending is as it suits ur imagination. for example Mr n Mrs Iyer. will she be able to be herself, be happy with her real husband having met her "Mr Iyer"? will she destroy the clips that raja hands her over n says it wouldn't be nice of him to preserve the memories of a married woman? so that's the kind of "feel the Literature" kind of movies I actually like to feast my soul on.
