It so happened, a lot of news stories about trouble between Abhishek Bachchan and his wife and actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's marriage were making rounds. A few even went on and published that two will be partying ways soon.
Tired of all the rumors, Abhishek took to the microblogging site and quashed all the reports in the sassiest way possible. Unlike times when the actor loses his cool and slams news houses, or trolls the trollers, that time, he chose to keep his calm and at the same time put records straight.
He decided to give a rather funny reply. He wrote on his Twitter account, "Ok.. So I believe I'm getting divorced. Thanks for letting me know! Will you let me know when I'm getting remarried too? Thanks! #muppets."
Later, during various interviews, Junior Bachchan was quizzed about rumors of trouble in his marriage and in an interview with Deccan Chronicle he was quoted saying that he doesn't get affected by stories about his personal life. He said, "I know what the truth is and I know how far to take the media seriously. I am not going to allow a third party to dictate to me and Aishwarya how we should lead our lives. She knows how much I love her and I know how much she loves me."
He further added, "If you are going to misinterpret something for your own convenience, then go ahead. I am a public figure after all. And I cannot make the media happy all the time. My marriage and my life are not going to be dictated by what the media says. So it's really not an issue for me."
Not only this, post this controversy, when he was promoting his next film Housefull 3 back then, he had to deal with a barrage of questions on his personal life all through the promotions.
Abhishek and Aishwarya who tied the knot in 2007 and have a daughter together named Aaradhya Bachchan have been one strong couple. Despite innumerable rumors of trouble in their paradise, the two have managed to stick by each other's side through thick and thin.
During his interview with Filmfare, Abhishek had revealed his mantra of a healthy married life, he was quoted saying, "There's a lot of adjustment, a lot of give and take. There will be agreements and disagreements. But it's important to keep the communication going. That's something I've always believed in.''
Well, now it's been more than twelve long years that Abhi and Aish are happily married and we are sure the two will keep giving us major couple goals!
