Silsila wouldn't be Silsila without Nandini and Drashti Dhami. Pre affair phase belonged to Drashti Dhami without a doubt. She nailed the domestic abuse scenes and with great nuance.Only an experienced actor could have pulled out those scenes and that is the reason she was approached to play the part.

I salute Drashti that despite receiving the worst of the worst sl ut shaming, abuses, death threats, ra pe threats, acid attack threats, despite her mother and husband being personally abused she maintained a DIGNIFIED STANCE and never once gave it back to any troll or paid PR of other actors. That is true PROFESSIONALISM! Despite the inhuman abusing which no woman should be subjected to in their lives and despite the comments that could land a lot of people behind bars she gave her blood and sweat for this show and remained dedicated even when her character was sidelined and butchered to glorify other characters. The last nail in the coffin was overnight change in characterisation post leap and she finally decided to quit. If she hadnt quit at that point I would have stopped believing in her as an artiste and boy am I glad she stepped down and refused to be the bali ka bakra ! Before she quit she was bashed for being dedicated to the role and was said she could do any such role for money. When she finally quit the same people said Shakti was professional for staying on. Why the double standards? Pre leap it was *oh she was desperate for money so doing this kind of role *. Post leap* oh shakti stayed on..he is proffessional*. Badalte standards for a show with badalte rishte.?..Anyways I think the best actors on this show were Abhinav and Drashti in my opinion. Their characterisation wasn't developed or worked on and I am glad they both exited as they deserved better. Shout out to Kinshuk..brought a much needed freshness in the show post leap. Glad the season ended with him in the show. Loved Shakti and Drashtis bond and chemistry. Hope to see them in a show someday again. Abhinav you deserve a show as main lead and so does Kinshuk. Barbie you were adorbs as Pari. Pramila Neena ji Jaya ji all brilliant actors. These were all the people I loved and I hope to watch their shows again.

I truly agree with you i just watched silsila only for Drashti when she quits i also quit the show ....Drashti and abhinav both were amazing and silsila will always be remembered by one n only Drashti Dhami for Nandini she was fab and i respect more for her played this amazing character

1 year of Silsila and my huge respect to Drashti for taking up probably THE MOST CONTROVERSIAL FEMALE LEAD of ITV and nailing each of her scenes with utter perfection while portraying the domestic violence victim or the anxiety and panic attack scenes! A charecter which was completely different from herself. Loved her chemistry with Shakti, Aditi and Abhinab! Sadly the makers were terrible and couldn't really handle such controversial concept but still, congratulations to them!

Badalte standards for a show with badalte rishte.?..People forget that it wasnt Shakti but Drashtis character Nandini that producers wanted to compromise with overnight for the sake of trps. His character was never sidelined the way DDs was. After leap he was promised a positive portrayal and redemption for his pre leap mistakes . He stayed on because he had ample amount of reason to! His was not the character that was going to be the scaoegoat post leap! So the whole stuck to the show because professional tha is kind of funny and ludicrous at the same time. Why go to this extent to put down another actor? Infact by deciding to quit Drashti pretty much showed that she was above just pay cheques and that creative satisfaction mattered. Kudos to her for that.

Couldn't say it any better Mou. Mad respect to her for not just challenging herself to take on a flawed character ,something she had never done before but also for being the dignified woman she was in the midst of inhuman and insane amount of bashing and shaming. I couldn't imagine any other actress portray Nandini with the nuance and grace Drashti brought with her. She proved with this show why she survived in this industry for 12 years - pure dedication, talent and most important of all DIGNITY. It takes GUTS to play a character which is not all white and she showed that with this role. A true actor is one who takes risks and I am proud to be a fan of Drashti Dhami - brilliant actor and above all a brilliant and dignified human being.

Silsila belongs to all four actors who were main pillars of the story...without a doubt story revolved around nadini(DrashtiDhami) be it before kunan story started and after that also and Drashti Dhami proved how brilliant actor she is hatsoff to her for taking such a cintroversial character...easy characters koi bhi play karta hein...

exactly...the story was written in such a way,.that there was no way people would not support Mauli,,she came across as a perfect wife who was betrayed by the two people closest to her ..so viewers obviously pitied her and sided with her and hated Kunal and nandini... The writers should have showed some problems in Mauli and kunals marriage ..and showed him getting closer to nandu slowly and drifting away from Mauli,.. But instead they made Kunal come across as a cold callous cheater who dumped his wonderful wife as soon as he found a more beautiful woman who was ready to serve and worship him...So the whole writing of the Ema was poor as they showed no reason for it or build up to it..and to this day we viewers still don’t know why Kunal left Mauli for nandu..it was never explained..

So its one year of SBRK..congratz.👏

I loved Drashti and Shakti chemistry and also Abhinav and Drashti chemistry..they were w'ful..

wish makers have not ruined the show and char. and we could see more of it.

Well .. the way Drashti potrayed Nandini ..was beyond amazing ..it was not a regular char..it was very different and Drashti pulled it off so well..and was appreciated too lots..

The char was multilayered and had lots of shades ..including negative/grey shades too.

and how she handled the negative feedback....was commendable ..it increased my respect and love for her more.

Aditi Sharma stole the show, she is power house when it comes to acting.

Her expressions, gestures, natural acting everything is perfect and no OTT in any frame.

I loved her acting since s1 epi 1 but she won my heart with the confrontation sequence.

I will never going to forget that mind boggling performance of Aditi Sharma during confrontation sequence.

What a strong, powerful yet gentle character Mauli was and Aditi lived and breathed mauli .

For me S1 belongs to everyone but Aditi is soul of s1.

@Moumita Guts without a doubt! That is why Drashti stood out for me personally. Like I said to take on a character that has flaws ,then play it with elan, deal with the vile abusing and personal bashing with dignity and come out shining..not everyone can do that. Unlike a lot of actors that would encourage bashing, DD's offscreen conduct has been nothing short of very very classy. A lot of people would want to play a positive, loved character but for me the ones that challenge themselves and take up roles that they know wont be the ones following the norm are the real heroes. In this regards both Drashti and Shakti have my respect. The scene where Nandini and her unborn baby are being kicked to death is still etched in my memory. To this date, it gives me goosebumps ,such strong was her portrayal ! For me season 1 will always be about Drashti . Take Nandini out and there is no silsila as she was the crux that changed the whole story. That was the reason Pearl and Colors both didnt want her to leave as they also knew it was the EMA line that was creating all the buzz and attention around the show. I wish they had developed Nandini more but I think they were too busy with just certain characters that they had no time to focus on her characterisation. Anyways hope to see all the 3 actors in their next shows. Big hug to fellow D fans. You all maintained so much dignity through everything. Kudos to you all!
