Bharat Has Good Advance

Bharat has taken a good advance but its not a killer advance. The film will be up there among top advances of Hindi films released in terms of collections. But the numbers of Bahubali - The Conclusion advance are miles ahead and Avengers - Endgame is light years ahead.

The biggest Hindi film advance in terms of collections till date is Thugs of Hindostan which had that the biggest day for collections on day one and a high level of advance in mass markets due. The advance for Bharat is not far off the level of Thugs Of Hindostan after two days of advance opening but in terms of tickets sold. The NETT figures are also not that far off thanks to the lower GST rates but the GROSS numbers are a good 20-25% down as Bharat has lower ticket pricing on average as compared to Thugs Of Hindostan.

The advance ATP (Average Ticket Price) is around 8-10% lower than Thugs of Hindostan but lower GST will cover for that in terms of NETT collections. Sultan was released three years back and was also a Wednesday release and its pretty certain that Bharat is not going the sell the same number of tickets in advance as that film. If had done so it would have been an excellent result for the film but here it is looking to get better collections than Sultan thanks to Entertainment Tax changing to GST and then a GST rate going down also.

If comparing to the Hindi films this year then its one horse race as it has already gone past the figures of Kalank in just two days of the advance opening but Bharat is not really competing with these films as it is far bigger. Overall a good advance but probably not as big as the biggest Hindi film of the year should be getting. But maybe it could be said this is the level of the bigger Hindi films at present.

Bharat expected to storm cinemas, advance booking brisk

Distributors across India are very positive about the upcoming Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif-starrer Bharat, and advance bookings for the film are very strong in multiplexes as well as single screens. Even though the film’s release will coincide with India’s first cricket World Cup match, that doesn’t seem to have affected the business prospects of the film. Distributors predict that Bharat will do extraordinarily well over the first weekend.

Bharat is like Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan in terms of their box office journey. Its success will depend entirely on word-of-mouth. Advance bookings have just opened and day one will not be house full. Given the response to the film’s promo and songs, it seems the film will pick up as the days go by instead of getting a humongous day one at the box office. If the advance booking picks up considerably in the evening today or by tomorrow, then we will be looking at a very different story. The reports of Bharat are very good. Also, there is no competition from another film for two weeks.

The buzz around this Salman Khan-starrer is very good everywhere and Bharat will take a better opening than his last two releases, Tubelight and Race 3. People are excited about the film in our state, and advance booking is brisk. On day one, the theatres will be houseful, at least in my circuit.

Bharat is looking really good and advance booking is also good. However, the ticket rates are very high, and it’s been a while since we sold tickets worth Rs 70,000 in a single screen, for the first five days of a film. In fact, the advance booking for this film is much better than it has been for Salman Khan’s earlier films as well as the big releases of 2018, including Thugs Of Hindostan. Bharat will earn Rs 28 crore pan-India on day one. Also, we should consider that, the film’s release coincides with India’s first world cup match, against South Africa. This will hugely affect the film’s first-day numbers. But the buzz is definitely there.

The advance booking of Bharat is excellent. The buzz that the film’s promo and songs have created is really strong and expectations are quite high for this Salman Khan-starrer. India plays its first World Cup match on the same day but I don’t think it will affect the film’s business. Instead of Rs 35 crore, the film might earn Rs 32 crore on day one but it will make up for that dip on the second day. Ultimately, what matters is the nine-day business of the film. Bharat is not a film which people would want to miss.

The buzz around Bharat is very good. There is no other film releasing for the next two weeks, so Bharat will definitely do well at the box office. Also, this movie is releasing on the festival of Eid and people are enthusiastic during this time. A majority of Eid crowd will come to cinema halls from Wednesday to Friday, and after that, other people will take over, on Saturday and Sunday. Over the weekend, the film should do very well. I would prefer not to hazard a guess as to its actual numbers but the film will definitely do extraordinary business during the first five days after its release.

The advance booking for Bharat is quite good and the buzz is amazing. We just opened advance booking and have sold 20-25 per cent of tickets. This will definitely increase after a day. If you compare the advance bookings of Bharat to those of Salman Khan’s last two films – Tubelight and Race 3 – Bharat looks much better. The film will definitely do extraordinary business at the box office over the first long weekend.

I hope it is worth watching and is not a straight rip off of the Korean film

Will watch it for Katrina, but if the WOM is bad, I'll wait... Netflix😛

Bharat Advance Update

The advance of Bharat is gaining good momentum before release. It is hot huge or record breaking like an Avengers - Endgame or Bahubali - The Conclusion but comparable to the biggest Hindi film advances like a Thugs Of Hindostan, Tiger Zinda Hai, Sunju or Sultan.

The advance of Bharat opened on Friday for a Wednesday release while Thugs of Hindostan opened on Saturday for a Thursday release. Its a five day advance for both films and on the first day Thugs Of Hindostan sold for more tickets but on day two, three and four there have better results for Bharat and there is the final day left which will mean Bharat having a similar number of tickets sold as Thugs Of Hindostan in advance or may be even more.

This does not mean the advance collections will be higher as Thugs of Hindostan had higher ticket rates at multiplexes and single screens but it is sure to be up there among the top three advances for Hindi films. Which position it finishes will be known tomorrow morning.

Even though it's India vs South Africa match tomorrow & it's a content film, the advance booking of BHARAT is outstanding throughout the country. If EID falls tomorrow, the movie will rake in around Rs 40 crore net on Day one. If not, Rs 30 crore net will still be hoovered up.

I trust Ali Abbas Zafar and Salman -Kat starpower.

MINIMUM 180 cr- and that is if really bad WOM- which I DO NOT THINK it will happen.

IMHO we are looking at 220-300..or more ( if this is as good as ofther Ali -Salman movies)
