Salman Khan reveals he wanted to buy Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat

However, not many of us know that before Shah Rukh, it was his friend and actor Salman Khan who was eyeing the sprawling sea-faced mansion in Mumbai.
In an interview with a website, Salman Khan revealed that Mannat could have been his bungalow, if his father Salim Khan hadn't asked him,"Itne bade ghar me karoge kya?"
Salman took his father's advice and eventually the bungalow went to Shah Rukh Khan.
The 53-year-old actor also said that he wants to ask the same question to Shah Rukh Khan,"Tu itne bade ghar mein karta kya hai?(What do you exactly do in such a big house)."
In a radio show earlier, Shah Rukh recalled the time when he decided to buy Mannat.
"I am from Delhi and Delhiites have the concept of living in a kothi (bungalow). In Mumbai, the concept is to live in apartments, but in Delhi, even if one is not well off, they still own a small bungalow," he had said.
"When I came to Mumbai, I was already married and was living in a small apartment with my wife Gauri. My mother in-law would keep saying, 'You live in such a small house'. Eventually, when I saw Mannat, it felt like Delhi wali kothi and so I bought it and it has been the most expensive possession of my life," he revealed.
Now, fans are just waiting for Shah Rukh Khan's witty response to Salman's question.
On the work front, Salman Khan is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Bharat on June 5 and Shah Rukh Khan is yet to decide his next project.

However, Salman Khan who is currently busy in the promotions of his next film Bharat, in one of the interviews revealed that he got the offer of buying Mannat but he didn't buy it because of his father Salim Khan.

Salman Khan in the interview revealed that before Shah Rukh, buying Mannat offer came to him but it was his father who denied buying Mannat. Salman revealed that his father Salim Khan told him what will they do in that much big house. Salman who never denies anything of his father didn't buy Mannat and later it went to Shah Rukh Khan.
Salman in the same interview also said that he wants to ask Shah Rukh what he does in that much big bungalow. Well, this is interesting that many things that came to Shah Rukh Khan earlier were offered to Salman Khan. Either it is Chak De India! or Mannat both first reached to Galaxy then to Shah Rukh Khan.
