High schoolers take SAT/ACT as most of the Universities require you to take it at least one of them. Getting into University from high school is not that bad. Depends on a lot of factors actually. They look at grades, SAT/ACT, and your personal statements before giving you a decision. However, yeah it is hard to get into Universities like Howard, Yale, etc.

And after getting into university in third year people apply for their major and that can be tricky given how popular or not popular that major is in that University.

If you're asking me about Internatipnal students then I have no clue about their level of difficulty.

No, LoL I was watching YouTube video and it seems like applying for universities is a very big thing in the States. So, I was just wondering from local perspectives.
