Aishwarya had to calm her furious hubby over VO tweet

Vivek Oberoi became the talk of the town a few days back when he took to his official twitter handle and posted an offensive meme mocking Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. In the picture posted, he drew comparisons between poll results and Aishwarya's personal life relationships and this enraged a lot of Twitterati’s and celebrities. Sonam Kapoor even called his meme ‘disgusting and classless’. The actor also received a notice from the National Commission of Women, demanding an apology.

Amidst all the chaos, Abhishek Bachchan who is known for his usual calm demeanor was upset over Vivek’s obnoxious tweet. A source close to the Bachchan’s has revealed to In.com,“Abhishek, for once was ready to fire back all cylinders ‘go’. It takes a lot to get him angry. But this disparaging tweet really got his goat.”

According to the source, it was Aishwarya who understood that Vivek’s tweet was just a publicity stunt and hence she calmed her husband. “She is at Cannes and when she heard about it (Vivek’s offensive meme), she was bemused and baffled. She had to calm Abhishek. She cannily saw through Oberoi’s ruse - to get publicity for his upcoming film, the Narendra Modi biopic. She told Abhishek not to play into his hands,”added the source.

Vivek initially played down the entire episode asking what he has done wrong by laughing over the tweet. In an interview with ANI, Vivek said, “People are saying apologize, I have no problem in apologizing, but tell me what wrong have I done? If I have done something wrong I will apologize. I don't think I have done anything wrong. What's wrong in it? Somebody tweeted a meme and I laughed at it.”

However, yesterday morning he deleted the tweet and apologized.

On the work front, Vivek Oberoi is gearing up for his upcoming movie PM Narendra Modi. Directed by Omung Kumar, the movie is all set to release on 24th May 2019.

Very believable as Abhishek usually reacts to anything adverse involving Aradhya. He is otherwise pretty thickskinned at taking meme's n jibes at him and even Aishwarya!

Saathiya was a clear hit yet people only talk abt Company when it comes to Vivek..at that time I felt he could not go wrong anywhere..

but success went up to his head so quick and how...the whole Aishwariya fiasco took over his brains and he screwed it up big. we remember at that time in 2003 when reports used to show up abt their affair..we always knew that aish won't be settle with Vivek. she would definitely pick a strong clout.

And then the salman fiasco happened, anyone in his place would have dealt the position maturely. he could have simply called Arbaaz or any of the family members abt the issue n m sure Arbaaz would hv helped him out but instead he blew the trumpet calling a press conference.

But it did not stop there, he went out to talk to the media claiming that Aish will marry him - spoke this to prabhu chawla n even KWK remember d comment 'Aish in my arms' but Aish dropped him like a hot potato which every one at that time has assumed.

Vivek made a fool of himself. he was totally isolated in no time. hardly any films, no limelight, no one took him seriously..even the performances he given in films were never praised like his earlier films. That's how mistakes in a career cost you.

while a lot of ppl say that salman had his hand in ruining his career which he also thinks. I disagree with this. He himself was just a debutant and he made a mess out of it in one single year..didn't even let his career to shape up so how can you blame someone else.

But sadly, even today he has not moved on which shows why he does such stuff. All I can say God bless him..give him positive energy so he can finally embrace everything and move on. Best wishes
